The hot tub with the view of the river & the firepit with wood furnished is a great way to spend the day outdoors… hiking, Fly fishing, tubing , kayaking or just relaxing watching for wildlife that happens by is a great way to spend the day. The cabin has totally been renovated due to hurricane Helena. The river is still magnificent and we have already had several guest catch some great trout. As far as the surrounding area. The 2 bedroom 1 bath cabin with cathedral ceilings and open living room space, says come on in and start relaxing. After a day of exploring , sink into the comfy couch to enjoy watching a movie or taking a nap. Or play one of the many board games provided. The kitchen is fully furnished with cooking equipment, coffee maker and K pod combo, 7.5 cubic refrigerator and freezer, with filled ice trays. With a smaller stove & oven, we have also added an outdoor grill, ( propane provided) and microwave , so you will be able to whip up a meal in no time. For your convenience we have stocked the kitchen with some cooking spices , coffee & filters to get you started. You won’t have any trouble sleeping in either of the 2 bedrooms with their luxury bedding and pillow top mattresses. The main floor bedroom has a queen bed with privacy, and the loft features a king size bed. The bathroom is small , but has a full size shower with rain shower head , and plenty of soft over sized towels . Start your morning with a cup of coffee on the porch, or deck while listening to the RIVER. Don’t be surprised if the bald eagle makes an appearance or ma’am and her baby ducks go paddling by. The peace and tranquility of this place will leave you renewed and at peace. After a day of fun activities enjoy a relaxing soak in the HOT TUB with cozy robes to wrap up in. There is also privacy curtains on the porch to literally create a cocoon . Even in the summer time the evenings cool down enough to gather around the FIRE PIT and talk about the “big one” that got away !! Or just lean back and take in the view of the moon light dancing on the. Get ready to sit back, unwind, and take in the VIEW . Come enjoy 4 seasons of beauty on the river in the Blue Ridge Mountains. We are a short drive from hiking, skiing, winery’s, restaurants, shopping, music and local craft shows. IF YOU ARE BOOKING IN THE LATE FALL , WINTER MONTHS . There is a gravel path as well as steps leading down to the rivers edge and cabin. If YOU HAVE ANY PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS PLEASE CONSIDER THIS BEFORE BOOKING……. Other things to note Be sure and look at the picture of the steps leading down to the cabin from the parking area. If you have any physical concerns, please take that into consideration before booking. We have had the pleasure to host small intimate wedding ceremonies at the River’s Edge.
