The bubbling Bonney’s Creek that runs through the property is a great backdrop to read a book or take a drink by the creek; listen to the native frogs, check out the burrowing crayfish chimneys or quietly wait for our resident platypus to emerge. You might want to see if there has been a fall of nuts in the Hazelnut Grove, fruit in the orchard, veggies in garden or fresh eggs in the Roost house. If you need a peaceful workspace, the desk with USB chargers and strong free WiFi over looks the gardens. EV Charger The Zappi EV Charger with tethered Type 2 socket is available for guests to use. Head out further around Meander Valley Less than 45 minutes from your Cordwainer Studio base you will find 41 Degrees South Salmon Farm, Melita Honey Farm, The Truffle Farm, Earth Water Cafe, Mole Creek Hotel and The Wandering Trout (near Mole Creek); Mole Creek caves, Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm, Van Diemen’s Land Ice-creamery and Villaret Gardens (near Elizabeth Town); and Lucy Boots, Bogan Road Distillery, Western Tiers Distillery and Hazelbrae (near Westbury) and Entally House (at Hadspen). Further north along the highway you’ll find Ashgrove Farm Cheese and Anvers’ Chocolate Factory. And of course Deloraine is near many short walks, local Meander River adventures and is also central to Northern Tasmania’s other premier tourist locations: Cradle Mountain, Launceston & Cataract Gorge, the Tamar Valley Wine Trail, Barnbougle Golf Links and the Lost Farm, and the Central Highlands.
