Relax in this cozy 1928 bungalow in historic east Urbana near the University of Illinois, Carle Hospital, and downtown. Restored with modern amenities while keeping its original charm, the cottage welcomes up to 4 guests and 3 well-behaved dogs—no pet fee! Enjoy the quiet neighborhood, craftsman style, and comfy spaces. Strict no-smoking policy. Please note: two neighboring homes are being renovated, bringing some extra activity to the area and temporarily affecting the street’s appearance. The space Welcome to a quiet, well-located neighborhood in historic east Urbana. The Cozy Cottage is located in an up and coming residential neighborhood close to local amenities and the University of Illinois (5 minute drive, 15 minutes via bus). Downtown Urbana is a 15 minute walk from the cottage and features local cafe’s, an ice cream shop, a brewery, a wine bar, restaurants, bars, grocers, and boutiques. This one-story home has two bedrooms (one with a queen bed, one with two twin beds), one bathroom (small, cute, with a tub shower), a living room with a smart TV, dining room, a kitchen, and a spacious, private outdoor living area with seating, a propane grill, and plenty of space for your dog(s) to play. There is complete laundry service in the basement with a washer, dryer, ironing board, iron, and provided detergent. Free parking is available in the driveway and on the street. For your safety and the security of the property, there is a doorbell camera on the front porch and a camera monitoring only the non-guest/landlord portion of the driveway. To ensure a clean, comfortable, and healthy environment for all guests, smoking and vaping of any kind are strictly prohibited anywhere on the property. This includes the burning or disposal of cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, cannabis, or any other material. Any violation of this policy—including smoking, vaping, burning, or improper disposal of related materials—will result in a non-negotiable minimum fee of $1,000, in addition to the cost of any necessary cleaning, odor removal, or damage repair. Thank you for respecting our home and helping us maintain a smoke-free space for all guests. Guest access Self check-in via the front door keypad. Guests will have full access to the main floor and basement laundry. Guests also have exclusive access to the private porch and fully fenced backyard. Other things to note Dogs are the only pets allowed. We ask that you care for the house as your own during your stay. Please ensure your dogs do not cause damage (chewing on woodwork or furniture, urinating indoors, etc.) Two dog crates (one medium and one large) are provided for your convenience. If you have a non-canine service animal let me know so I can work to best accommodate you. Please make sure the guest count of your reservation is accurate, and let me know if you'd like to add a guest at any time during your stay. For stays longer than two weeks lawn service may occur during your visit. I will reach out to you to coordinate the best day and time window. Parties are strictly prohibited.
