Dr. Strickland Home, Sanford Business District
This beautiful historic home has a unique history and is located in the heart of downtown Sanford. Please note, this home is NOT in a residential neighborhood. Centrally located between Daytona Beach and Orlando/Disney. Nearby are the Central Florida Zoo, Seminole Sports Complex, Civic Center, & numerous family-owned restaurants and watering holes, even lakefront dining! Minutes from the Orlando-Sanford Airport, (SFB), Amtrak Autotrain, I-4, & the Sunrail. There is also a free local trolley! ***PLEASE TAKE NOTE*** The grounds are private property, but NOT fenced and the house is located in the Historic Sanford business district; there are small businesses across the street and next door. THIS IS NOT A QUIET CUL-DE-SAC IN A RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOOD. As mentioned elsewhere on the listing, there IS a potential for street noise. The house itself is old and spacious, and we hope you enjoy your home away from home! The entire house will be accessible, upstairs, downstairs, and porch, excepting the closet under the staircase. Please feel free to use this chat, or to call or text myself at 407-219-6561, or my assistant, Sarah, at 321-347-6195, with ANY questions. Either of us are rarely more than 15-20 minutes away if anything is needed. Downtown Sanford is always hosting one event or another. Many hidden gems are to be found by just strolling the area. Ft. Mellon Park is several blocks away with a splash-pad, and playground for the kiddies! There are also a public boat ramp and boat slips available in the area. The Sanford Trolley provides free transportation throughout the downtown area, and to both the Amtrak Auto Train, and the Sunrail Station. There is one long-term resident in the separate apartment out back. Mark drives a gold truck, and we ask guests to please keep the side of the drive closest to his apartment open. Thank you.
