The Hay Barn

A Visit England five-star gold award holiday barn offering every luxury for those seeking a hideaway from the hustle and bustle of York but with easy access to the city centre via bus or car. The 18th century Hay Barn is part of 'The Dovecote Barns' set at the edge of the lovely quiet Kelfield village, offering a tranquil setting in which to relax. A private garden area, cosy bedrooms with luxury mattresses, underfloor heating and log burning stove in the open plan living/kitchen/dining area. The space Features of this under-floor heated open-plan living area include a beautiful handmade Neptune kitchen with granite worktops and kitchen island, oak kings truss framing the upper living area, and a wood burning stove. The living area is up a single flight of stairs, leaving the bottom 3 ensuite bedrooms and separate WC on the ground floor. Two of the ensuite bedrooms have large super-king beds (which can be split into twin beds if required) with ensuite shower wet rooms and the third bedroom has a king bed with ensuite bath/shower room. All bedrooms have french doors leading onto the back garden and patio area for al fresco dining and barbeque. The bedrooms have luxury mattresses home grown in Yorkshire. Please note : Although the Hay Barn sleeps 6, it is equipped for a group of 12 adults to group dine and socialise when the barns are rented together for a larger party group. Guest access Guests have total private access to the Hay Barn and both front and back gardens which are accessed either via a passageway or through the bedroom french doors. Also, guests have communal access to the Games Room (with pool table and darts board and board games). Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult in the Games Room. Communal access is also available to the Eco Laundry which houses washing machines, dryer and drying rack. The eco laundry is beside the Hay Barn and is accessible 24/7.
