The house can be sectioned off into 2 "wings" by double glass doors. There are 2 toilets (both separate) and one full bathroom with a bathtub, a shower and double sink. Large and fully equipped chefs kitchen, with 2 ovens, a grill, 2 sinks, double fridge/freezer. Bar bench with bar stools creates a nice social atmosphere when cooking. Large dining area with table that seats 10. Sliding glass doors out to the verandah and large open fireplace. Perfect for cosy winter evenings. Outdoor room with openable glass walls, seating and both coal and gas BBQ's. Large, raised and very private verandah with extendable table that seats 10. Outdoor electric sauna with tiered seating and window to the backyard. 3m Trampoline with safety netting. Small greenhouse where we plant vegetables and herbs. Cherry tree, red-berry bushes, blueberry scrubs, strawberries, wild strawberries, rhubarb and more can be found in the backyard. Large driveway with space for 3 cars. Plenty of street parking. Solar panels on the roof, geothermal heating, fireplace and air-conditioner all help heat, power and cool the house. We recycle all waste and have separate bins for organic waste, plastic, paper, metal and glass. For children, we have toys, books, child-gates, magnetic locks on cupboards (can be turned off), dinnerware, sheets...you name it. Bedroom configurations as follows: - Bedroom one has a 180 bed - Bedroom two gas a 140 bed - Bedroom 3 (media room) has a 140 fold-out couch. There is no door to this room - Bedroom 4 has a crib/cot for out 2 year old. Walking distance to great hills for toboggan (a must in winter!), a playground, a forest/ski trail (approx. 3km long trail), a small shop, an indoor and outdoor gym, an outdoor swimming pool (open in summer only), a pizza restaurant and more. 15min drive to 'town' (population of 50,000) which has pretty much everything you need/want. Our go-to's here are the adventure indoor swimming pools and SPA, our Crossfit gym and our regular 'fika' place (the great Swedish tradition). There's a small harbour with restaurants and shops that sell locally produced goods. If you drive 15min North instead of South, there is another town, with wild moose tours. In summer the countryside comes alive, with many local events and pop-up cafes. In winter, it becomes (usually) a winter wonderland, covered in glittering snow. There is a small hill nearby for skiing/snowboarding, and the forest trail nearby has 2 locations for fireplaces, perfect for grilling marshmallows (free firewood is always there). The best thing in winter though, for us, is to sit at home after a day tobogganing and have a hot chocolate in front of our open wood-fire fireplace, or sweat it out in our sauna with brief interludes of rolling around in the snow. Guest access The whole house and back yard is for your private use Other things to note We have solar on the roof, but we still ask guests to be mindful of power use, as it can be very expensive in winter. We also recycle like most Swedes - paper, plastic, glass, organic and metal all go in different bins, and we would very much appreciate if you do this also while staying here
