The Mandavi Studio - Garden & Nordic Bath

Guest studio of 25 m2 in the heart of the Entre Deux Mers, in a natural and protected forest area, 20 minutes from Bordeaux train station, 30 minutes from Saint Emilion and 1 hour from the ocean. Our house is entirely built of wood, the siding is made of burnt wood also called Shou sugi ban, which is derived from a natural wood protection technique of Japanese origin. We are sensitive to environmental issues, so we have designed it to be as resilient as possible. The space The studio is upstairs, and you can access it through a separate entrance at the back of our house. You will have a kitchenette with a sink, fridge, kettle, toaster, French press coffee maker and a portable hob (induction). A bed for 2 people (140 x 190 cm) and a sofa that can be used as a single bed, for a child only (70 x 200 cm). The bathroom consists of a walk-in shower, a sink and a toilet that runs on rainwater. We also provide natural and eco-friendly bath products. Bed linens are provided, as well as bath towels. Upon request during booking: - Port-A-Crib / Baby equipment - Microwave On-site, when we are present: (services not included in the booking) - Wood-fired Nordic bath heated by us €40 (72 hours' notice required) / Unheated Jacuzzi €25 (24 hours' notice required), depending on the weather. - Dinner: can be cooked by me with local and organic products (48 hours in advance) Guest access The studio is on the first floor of our house. Access is at the back, via a stairway walkway (follow the "Le Studio" sign) . Other things to note We don't have a full sewer system, but an individual sanitation system using coconut filters. Since gray water is discharged into the natural environment, we are therefore attentive to the use of environmentally friendly products. If you'd like a microwave, please let me know when you book.
