It is close to Ashdown Forest, magical woodland that has inspired the adventures of Winnie-the-Pooh. The neighbouring places of historic interest are Lingfield, East Grinstead, Edenbridge, Oxted, Westerham, Lewes, etc.. In the vicinity, there are many sightseeing attractions offering fun family activities, including Hever Castle & Gardens, British Wildlife Centre, Bluebell Railway, Godstone Farm, Wakehurst botanic garden, Chiddingstone Castle, Penshurst Place & Gardens, and more.
