Ideally located in the center of Sunriver, our home sits on a quiet cul-de-sac just a short walk from Fort Rock Park. Our well-equipped home is most ideal for a small group or single family (max 6 guests). Well-behaved pets are allowed for an additional fee. The home includes passes to access the SHARC indoor & outdoor pools, exercise facilities and tennis/pickleball courts. If you were to drop a pin dead-center in Sunriver, you might very well be at our house. Norwegians have a word “koselig” that translates roughly to “cozy”. This idea describes how we feel about our home. Sleep in as late as you can in the soft bedding with extra pillows, at least until your pup tells you it’s time for a morning walk. Warm up with a cup of coffee while sitting in the large sunlit south-facing windows. Sit out on the deck to catch the rays of sun that creep through the trees, then put up the sun umbrella to find the shade when it warms up. Come back from a long bike ride or round of golf to grill your own steaks and enjoy the growler of beer that you picked up from Sunriver Brewing on the way home. Curl up on the sofa with extra blankets to enjoy a glass of wine by the wood-burning fire or watch a movie with the family. See how many trips to the hot tub you can make; any excuse works: after a crisp morning walk, to sooth sore muscles after a day of skiing, or as a night-cap to finish the day. We purchased the home in July 2022 and have made multiple updates to the home including new flooring and renovated bathrooms. The kitchen is well-equipped with new appliances and utensils, as well as a large table that can seat up to 8 people. The living room has a flat-screen TV, wood-burning fireplace, couch & two arm chairs. The master bedroom has a soft queen bed and small TV. Guest/kids bedroom has a full lower bunk and twin upper bunk, as well as a loft space. There are two separate bathrooms, which are both small but functional. The house was newly equipped with air conditioning in 2021. There are a washer and dryer in the home, which are older, but still work just fine. Wi-Fi and multiple streaming services are available. We do not have a garage or indoor storage for skis or golf clubs. There are no bicycles available at the rental, though there are plenty of board games, as well as bocce and pickle ball supplies. You can rent bikes from any number of local rental shops and park them outside on the deck or in the driveway overnight. Six SHARC passes are included with the home, which allow access to the indoor & outdoor pools, exercise facilities, and tennis/pickleball courts. Fort Rock Park is a very short walk to sports courts, picnic pavilions, horseshoe pits, and public barbecues. The Village at Sunriver is just two miles from your door where you can play, shop, dine, or book an outdoor excursion Sunriver is a playground for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Sunriver boasts two on-site golf courses, 40 miles of mixed-use trails, and more. In one afternoon, your family could learn to ride horses, fish along the Deschutes River, or hike around Paulina Crater! When the night sky is clear, visit the Oregon Observatory for breathtaking views of the stars. The home is just 21 miles from Mt. Bachelor when you're in search of powdered alpine runs. It’s about the same distance to Bend if you seek boutiques, spas, fine dining, or dozens of Oregon craft breweries! Central Oregon boasts about 300 days of sunshine each year, and there's no better place to enjoy it all than on the golf course, floating the river, or hiking through the Newberry National Volcanic Monument. A key code will get you in the front door. The entire home is available for use, though some cabinets have locks for owner items. Guests should be cautious when using the loft space in the guest bedroom. It's not cleaned between stays, but is generally clean. It's a great place for older kids to hang out and sleep, but not a space for little ones to be climbing up & down. Feel free to call Bill or Melissa for anything urgent or a safety concern. Cottage located in the heart of Sunriver Ample parking for 2 vehicles. No bicycles available at rental, but space to store bicycles on deck or side of the house. Easy walk to walking/biking trails. Easy parking for 2 vehicles. There is not a lot of outdoor space for storage (i.e. no garage). The home does not include bicycles though there are lots of places to rent bikes in Sunriver.
