The Sunset Cottage , Ambajejus Lake

This cozy comfortable cottage is a lake front cottage, located on Ambajejus Lake. Close to Mt. Katahdin , Baxter State Park and the Katahdin Monument. The space The cottage inside is pretty open with the exception of the 2 bedrooms and bathroom being private. There is a small sofa that has a twin bed that can be pulled out for a person to sleep on , but with no privacy. Towels and linens are provided. There is around 950 square feet of living space. kitchen has plenty of pots and pans. Space to cook your own meals. Microwave , gas stove/oven , dishes and silverware. Coffeemaker ( drip coffee maker)and coffee grinder. The living room has nice comfortable furniture with a pellet stove. A heat pump is in use to provide either heat or air condition controlled by a remote control . A TV is provided for DVD use only. We have WIFI , but it is limited as it’s a jet pack, so at times the wifi service will not be good. We have a few dvd’s available , but if you have favorites bring them with you. There is board games , cards and puzzles for rainy day fun.There is outdoor furniture provided around the fire pit with a game of corn hole or a game of four score while someone can BBQ , kayak or go fishing. (We provide fishing polls, but you need to buy your own bait if you choose to use it)While sitting on the patio deck you can enjoy a beautiful view of Mount Katardin. There is a high top table and 2 chairs on the small porch facing the pond. Great place to relax with your morning coffee.There is a picnic table and a patio deck. We provide firewood for the fire pit . The cottage has a private beach with a dock to fish from. Check out is at 10:00 am . Please send me a message to confirm you are leaving so I can be there to clean for the next guest. Thank you! If not checked out by 10:00 am a $150.00 late fee will be charged. I hope you understand as I need to get the property ready for the next guests. To get to our cottage you travel on a winding dirt road( may be bumpy) for 4.8 miles. Guest access The entire property is for your use with the exception of the gas lights that are inside the cottage on the wood beam.The small brown log shed and the swing with the green seat attached to the pine tree on the lake side of the cottage is not assessable to guests. Other things to note There is a tv available for use with dvd’s. We have a few to watch , but if you have favorites bring them with you.For drinking water purpose use the water in the containers by the refrigerator that is provided in the camp. You have to access steps to get in the cottage. The property has 3 kayaks for your use. Always wear life jackets when using kayaks Children must be accompanied by an adult. Host is not liable for any incident regarding kayaks or dock at the cottage. No diving off the dock.
