Nestled in the heart of the historic village of Binalong. Peaceful streets, abundant birdlife, a great community feel, and a fabulous country pub. This is the perfect place to come together, relax, and explore the beautiful Yass and Hilltops region. Ideal accommodation if you’re attending a wedding or family gathering. The Station Masters House retains its charm, where Victorian era features and history abound. The home has been lovingly restored whilst adding modern comforts. The space The house has 3 bedrooms each with new queen beds. There are 2 bathrooms, one with a shower, and the other with a freestanding clawfoot deep bathtub. The kitchen is equipped to self cater, and looks out onto the garden and distant paddocks. The dining room comfortably seats 6-8 and is light and enjoys the morning sun. The cosy lounge room has a wood firebox (BYO wood) and flat screen smart TV, along with board games and books you can enjoy whilst staying. With fast NBN internet via free WIFI available, you can be entertained, connected and work remotely as you need. RC air conditioning and heating through the house. There is a beautiful garden to enjoy. You can relax watching the sunsets on the front verandah, enjoy alfresco dining, and read a book under the shade of the trees. KItchen herbs are available in the garden as the season allows. At night there is an option to use the fire pit and marvel at the night sky (BYO firewood, and subject to any NSW Rural Fire Service firebans). Parking for 3 cars is available in the driveway, and the yard is fully fenced. Guest access You will have the entire house and garden, not the garage. Other things to note Our Region Binalong is located 1 hour from Canberra and 3 hours from Sydney. It is approximately 16 kilometres off the Hume Highway (via Burley Griffin Way). Binalong is a beautiful, quaint historic village. It’s a place to relax and unwind. There is a swimming pool in town (summer season) , and a golf course. You can enjoy a coffee, a drink or meal at one of the local businesses which offer up country hospitality. The house is central and footsteps from a great cafe and the fabulous Binalong Hotel. Note: there is limited shopping so best to bring your own food if you wish to cook. You can spend the entire stay relaxing at the house or use it as a base to explore the region. Binalong is centrally located to explore Murrumbateman wineries, Yass, Boorowa, Jugiong and Young, to name a few. Each town has a number of boutique shops that support small and local producers, cafes, pubs, wineries and wine bars. Binalong was famously known as a hive of activity for notable bushrangers, Ben Hall, Johnny Gilbert, John O’Mealley and John Vane. A mural in Pioneer Park, Fitzroy St, depicts the story of the gun fighting death of ‘Flash’ Johnny Gilbert by police, as told by Banjo Paterson in his poem ‘How Gilbert Died’. Gilbert’s grave is just off the Burley Griffin Way. The Yass Valley and Hilltops Region are beautiful, and well worth exploring .There are back roads ideal for bike riding. Take a drive and picnic to Burrinjuck Dam and Wee Jasper; cherry pick in Young or take a leisurely drive to see the canola fields - the options are endless. Registration Details PID-STRA-56780
