Serenity awaits you at Spruce Point. Enjoy the beauty of Maine at a private lakefront cottage on the Eastside of Swan Lake where you can experience both sunrise and sunset views. The space Two bedrooms each with a full-size bed that sleeps two each. In the main living area there is a futon that can sleep two, a pull-out couch that can sleep two and a couch that can sleep one. The loft has two cot beds that sleep one each. The only stairs in the cabin are up to the loft space. There are stairs outside to get down to the beach and lake. The cabin is heated by a Rinnai wall unit heating system and a separate standing heater can be used in the boathouse when necessary for the bathroom. The hand crafted stone fireplace is for show and not to be used by renters. The full bathroom is located a short distance from the cabin across the attached breezeway to the boathouse. The original changing room was converted to a full bathroom with standing single shower, single sink, mirror and toilet. The kitchen is fully stocked with dish ware, utensils, glasses, coffee mugs, cooking utensils, pots/pans and bakeware. *The water is non-Potable. It is pumped up from the lake and heated by the hot water heater. This water is used for bathing and dishwashing. Bottled water is brought in for cooking, drinking and brushing teeth. The circular drive and large driveway give ample space for outdoor play when cars are parked in the circular drive. This large space is partly grass, but mostly pine needles. Great for frisbee, playing catch, kids outdoor games, badminton, hacky sack, horse shoes, corn hole and so much more. Clothesline instead of clothes rack. No dedicated Wifi, however, personal hotspots work wonderfully. No dedicated landline, however, great cellular reception. Guest access Whole space Other things to note To keep the cabin as cool as possible on hot summer days, place the small fan facing outward in the loft with the window fully opened. There are two window fans that can be used in the windows facing the porch to force heat out as well. There is a large ceiling fan in the main room of the cabin as well. We provide a gas grill for your use during your stay. We expect that if you choose to use it that you will clean it prior to your departure. Please limit the amount of sand in the cabin and boathouse by rinsing and drying off your feet before entering. We keep the stairs to the beach swept and use a basin of water at the first step from the beach and another on the breezeway to rinse off to help limit the sand brought into the cabin and boathouse. Please return the cabin to the condition in which you found it. Cleaning fees go toward general cleaning, not deep cleaning, and our turn around time between rentals is short to allow for the most amount of time for the enjoyment of each renter. Stove top, oven, refrigerator and gas grill should be cleaned prior to check out. Please strip the beds that were used of the sheets and pillow cases and place on one bed along with all towels for cleaning. Please return all beach chairs and beach toys to the boat house if used during your stay. Please make sure all are cleaned of sand first. We are blessed with American Bald Eagles that enjoy sitting in our large tree on the point. Please be respectful of them and enjoy their beauty from a distance. They are protected wildlife. NOTE: Do not leave small children or dogs unattended on the cabin grounds or beach for their safety. Eagles are a bird of prey.
