One captures warm sunsets, while the other greets the morning with sunrise over the canyon and mountains. The main bathroom has thoughtful custom touches and a spa-like feel for post-hike resets. Zen Den (Casita) The Zen Den is a separate, private casita that gives your group more space to spread out. It features a king bed, a full bathroom, and its own indoor-outdoor rhythm. You can start your morning on the front patio rocking chairs, then move to the back patio lounger with wide-open views. OUTDOOR AMENITIES The outdoor areas are designed for true desert downtime. You can spend the day in the saltwater pool, lounge in the sun, and end the night with a soak in the hot tub. Between the patios, deck, seating areas, and open views, there’s always a perfect spot to reset. NEARBY ATTRACTIONS You’re perfectly placed for a mix of adventure and iconic desert culture: ☼ Joshua Tree vibes for hiking, boulders, and desert sunsets (an easy day trip) ☼ Pioneertown for Old West atmosphere, local shops, and live music energy ☼ Endless dirt-road exploring + hiking nearby, with trails and open space in every direction If you tell us what you’re into (hiking, stargazing, live music, slower wellness weekends), we’ll happily share our favorite local recommendations. Guest access You’ll have private, full-property access to both buildings—HOHM + the Zen Den—plus all outdoor lounge areas. The saltwater pool is yours to enjoy, and the Zen Den hot tub is included and free to use. For safety, guests use the pool/hot tub and any exercise equipment (free weights, yoga mat) at their own discretion. Other things to note Our concept: Indigotopia as a “heterotopia.” Indigotopia was created as a retreat space—something a little outside the everyday. Writer Erik Davis describes a heterotopia as “a space of otherness, at once physical and interpsychic.” We offer Crystal Sound Bath sessions on-site in our Sound Temple. Weekend sessions Saturdays at 11am. As a thank-you for booking, we include 2 complimentary spots for your group (additional guests may join at a discounted rate). We recommend booking early, as sessions can fill up in advance. You can find details on Airbnb under “Pioneertown Sound Bath.” Parking is simple and private-feeling: you’ll have dedicated on-site parking, and sound bath attendees use a separate designated area. Note the final stretch is a short dirt road. Off-road vehicles are welcome, and Burns Canyon is a popular nearby route toward Big Bear. Please note that driving/riding around the property itself is not permitted. Indigotopia was created as a peaceful retreat space, and we kindly ask guests to help us keep the atmosphere calm and respectful. For security, there are 3 exterior-only surveillance cameras on the property. A quick note on the property: we are a small family who built Indigotopia as a peaceful retreat space. Everything we do and have done here on the land has been very sacred and dear to our hearts. We know those who stay here will feel all of the energy the space holds.
