There is no other property like this in Guadalajara. It was awarded first place in entire city in Feb 2015 for best renovation by city Government along with historical urban planning council. A renewed old mexican villa that dates from the 19th century. The house is an architectural jewel, a unique residence featuring spacious guest rooms with modern elements that provide a feeling of hip and chic to elegant. Extensive renovations have been made to plumbing, electrical along with new private bathrooms containing granite counter tops. Originally everything was built around the center courtyard and that's how it appears today, providing an interior view you have unlikely seen in any other house. Palacete is one of Guadalajara's premier residences, recognized with an historical plaque on the outside sidewalk for its stunning architecture. The neighborhood is blue collar with repair shops but very much alive and once inside the house, it is quiet and peaceful. Just relax after your daily adventures and enjoy the pool or a cocktail. The property has five available bedrooms each with private, modern baths. In addition common area includes a beautiful kitchen, and of course, the pool. Even if you are traveling with a group, the house offers enough space, ranging from the separated kitchen to the dining area, to the central courtyard, offering ample privacy. We offer as much expertise about the city as you would like. This could range from restaurant advice to providing information for shopping or any other detail pertaining to the city or mexican culture. My partner was born in the city and i have lived since late 2008. If you have any questions, just ask. Palacete is located near downtown and other areas such as chapultepec where you will find nightlife and restaurants ranging from high-energy to more relaxed. There is a taxi stand just around the corner from the house, just in front of the mexicaltzingo church, and parking options if you choose to rent a car. If you are not familiar with the city, you will find that it has a young and vibrant feeling where you can meet interesting locals and foreigners that will show you a warm smile, making your stay in guadalajara a cultural event. The climate is typically spring-like, never humid, but almost always sunny. If you live in mexico or just visiting, the villa will offer a safe and authentic experience. Guest access ENTIRE VILLA. Washer/dryer, in ground pool, iron/board, coffee maker, limitless bottled water from hot/cold dispenser. Everything you would need in kitchen along with Bose radio, microwave, wi-fi, cable TV. Other things to note The price is for up to 10 people unless you select 11-12 during the booking process in which case the accurate price will show. There is additional fee person, per night with more than 10 people. Parking is street or secured parking lot two blocks from house. It is inexpensive and worth it. I like to keep rules flexible but by accepting the rental you need to take responsibility for any damage. I not worried about a broken glass but rather missing items, damage to paintings, furniture, linens, etc. In addition, I take zero responsibility for anyone getting hurt during their stay. For example, with respect to children which we welcome but parents need to exercise caution with respect to the pool, stairs, etc. The pool can be closed off and with doors but once inside the pool area, there is no additional fence which you can see in the photos. On occasion guests ask us to open the rooftop area. It's your choice but if you have children or in general, not a good idea as it's extremely high and not protected by a fence/ wall on one side. Again, its a large house, hard floors, stonework around pool, and by staying on property, you take full responsibility for yourself and anyone in your group.
