Description

You’ll love this cabin for the mostly covered deck. South and west-facing, looking straight at the mountains — it’s where you’ll have your morning coffee, and where you’ll still be sitting around the fire long after dinner. Cosy wood cabin, two bedrooms, kitchen, and 1,000 acres of working ranch to wander. Dogs welcome. Your neighbours are a herd of Angus cattle and two horses. Gas fireplace and full bathroom inside, BBQ and shared hot tub outside. The space The Panabode is a 400 sq.ft. log cabin tucked inside the main homestead compound at Flint Rock Ranch — 1,000 acres of Porcupine Hills foothills, with the Rocky Mountains filling the view to the south and west. The ranch's 1,000 acres are yours to explore — on foot or by bike if you've brought one. Wildlife and cattle paths double as trails, and the terrain rewards anyone who wanders. Waterton Lakes National Park is 45 minutes south; Crowsnest Pass is 45 minutes west. Both are worth the drive. Dogs and well-behaved pets are welcome with prior approval — the valley is good news for any dog. We ask that they aren't left unattended in the cabin unless crated. Patrick lives on-site full-time and will be in touch before you arrive to answer any questions. Guest access The cabin and deck are private to your group. Guests will also have access to a shared wood burning fire pit when the wind and the weather allow. The hot tub and field are shared, as is the cookhouse and cookhouse washrooms. The kitchen there is perfect for larger meals, with many burners, two ovens, and another BBQ, as well as outdoor picnic tables under the pergola. Many wildlife and cattle paths are also suitable for biking and hiking, and there is a path through the forest which is a great way to get out of the sun on hot days. Other things to note Flint Rock Ranch is approximately a 2.5 hour drive from Calgary, and is 25 minutes from the town of Pincher Creek.
