Pack and play /high chair available upon request. If you would like access to an additional bedroom for additional guests please message me! The cabin is entirely private but some bedrooms are closed off for this listing and can be available for use for an additional fee. (We close these off so that we can offer this listing at a lower rate due to less cleaning.) After enjoying an afternoon on the lake, our fully equipped kitchen is the perfect spot to prepare a romantic dinner. Not in the mood to cook? No worries! Our favorite restaurant, The Oxbow Inn, is located less than 5 miles away. We are also only 15 minutes to the town of Speculator and Oak Mountain ski area/restaurant. Speculator has a wide variety of small businesses, shops, restaurants, ice cream stands, diners, gas station, grocery store/all purpose store, laundromat and a small brewery/barroom. They also have a public beach and boat rental services. The lake is just a few steps away, right outside the house and is quite shallow and great to wade in but parts are very rocky hence our no jumping off of the dock rule. We do not recommend bringing a motor boat to the dock. We do have a canoe and 2 kayaks that are available for guest use! We do have neighbors in close proximity so we ask for a 10pm quiet time as not to disrupt them. We have a new Weber grill on the deck and outdoor Adirondack chairs along the lake shore. There is no better place to have a glass of wine, or just relax and listen to the loons. Photography services available upon request. Late checkout request: If you would like to request a late check out please ask in advance - we are sometimes able to accommodate ONLY if we do not have another guest checking in. We will notify you the day prior to checkout if we can accommodate. You may also inquire about renting an extra night to ensure a late check out is available. As mentioned, we are always working on upgrades to this camp but we will not be working on it while you are renting it. Please excuse the unfinished siding on one part of the house as it is currently being replaced with stone! Seasonal items to note - Docks are usually put in sometime in June depending on weather and availability. You can still use the kayaks and canoes without the dock as they are put in and taken out on the shore. Docks are usually taken out in September-October depending on weather and availability. A Christmas tree is usually put up on porch during Thanksgiving time and taken down in January. Guest access The house is entirely private and you will not be sharing the house with anyone. We will close the door that provides access to the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom. We have this listing in order to offer a discounted price for couples and small families but we have the entire cabin listed as well so if you'd like access to more bedrooms just message us! Again, no one else will be at the cabin with you but we are able to offer a lower price by not having to clean and wash the bedding for the upstairs rooms. Other things to note There is limited to no cell service around the lake but you can use the "wifi calling" setting on your cell phone to make calls and send/receive text messages etc. We will make sure you have the wifi password before you arrive!
