The space The suite is a loft-style space featuring a private bathroom and an open area that combines a kitchenette, bedroom, and living/dining room. The bathroom has an eco-friendly composting toilet and hot water available 24 hours a day. The entire property is equipped to provide comfort to our guests in a countryside, wooded setting typical of the mountains of Hidalgo. The kitchenette includes: - Electric cooktop - Mini refrigerator - Electric kettle - Coffee maker - Toaster oven - Plates and glasses - Wine glasses - Knives, forks, and wooden utensils - Cutting board - Corkscrew - Can opener - Iron - Seasonings and essentials: salt, garlic powder, black pepper, cumin, olive oil, and our special selection of coffee and tea The sleeping area includes a closet and a luggage rack. The bed features a memory foam mattress and a down comforter. There are also plenty of pillows and extra blankets to ensure a warm and cozy night's sleep. At the head of the bed, you'll find a small library with an adjustable reading lamp, perfect for relaxing with a good book. The living area includes: - High-speed fiber-optic WiFi - 32-inch Smart TV with YouTube and Claro Video - Japanese-style futon with a canvas cover and cotton filling that serves as both a sofa and an extra bed The dining area includes: - Wooden table with four chairs - Placemats - Flower vase - Napkin holder - Cast-iron wood stove with complimentary firewood provided The bathroom includes: - Eco-friendly dry toilet with sawdust provided - Toilet paper - Bath towels for each guest and a - hand towel - Mirror - First aid kit - Towel rack - Bath mat - Hair conditioner, body wash, and shampoo The patio includes a fire pit and complimentary firewood. Guest access Guests have access to the gardens, the suite’s patio, and the entire suite. They can make a campfire and roast marshmallows in the patio, enjoy watching a movie on the sofa, or have a romantic dinner in front of the iron stove’s fire. Other things to note IMPORTANT: Repairs are underway on the access road, so parking will not be available on the property for a few weeks. Guests will need to walk approximately 50 meters (165 feet) to reach the suite, along a steep path that can become muddy during the rainy season. Please also note that the bathroom features an eco-friendly composting toilet. It is simple to use, completely hygienic, and odor-free. We have been using this system in our own home for more than 11 years. It helps us create fertile compost while protecting the region’s rivers from wastewater pollution. Even if this is your first experience with a composting toilet, we are confident that you will find it easy and comfortable to use. The shower is completely conventional, with hot water available at any time during your stay.
