Hidden Rose House is a bright, private home located off the road down a long driveway surrounded by five open acres. Feel far away yet only 10 minutes to downtown Sebastopol. Beautiful views from every window; vineyard, meadow, orchard, eucalyptus grove, rolling hills, distant mountains (and the hidden rambling rose). A place to enjoy nature not parties! there are three motion detector cameras on the outside of the home. They do not overlook hot tub or outdoor shower. No indoor cameras. Our three (plus study with futon) bedroom home has an updated kitchen with high-end appliances, including a six-burner 36 inch oven and stove. There is an attached family room with great views, a gas fireplace turned on by a flick of the switch and a 60 inch flat screen tv with cable, netflix, on demand, etc. There is also a formal dining room and a study downstairs with a full-size futon. Upstairs there is a master suite with nearly panoromic nature views, a king size bed, a sitting area with small table and futon love seat, a flat screen tv with cable etc. It also has its own bathroom with shower. The second bedroom is extremely large with a twin bed, and a full size futon bed and queen over queen bunk bed, vineyard and farm views and a sitting area. The third bedroom is a smaller bedroom with a queen-size bed and also nice views of orchards. The fourth "bedroom" is our study which has a full-size futon with a very comfortable all organic wool and coil spring mattress. We also have a covered wrap around front porch and an over-sized back deck with areas of sunshine, areas shaded by wisteria and grape arbors, a hot tub and quintessential wine country views. In the warm season the back deck is the perfect setting for an outdoor dinner or entertaining. In winter there is a gas fire pit and a standing outdoor heater. Most of the year you can pick ripe fruit right off our trees and many veggies from the gardens. This is a really great place for groups who want to experience nature and an authentic Sonoma County country home experience. This is a place for groups who want to relax at night and listen to distant coyotes, frogs, crickets, cows, etc. while watching shooting stars. This is a place to wake up to beautiful light and views. This is a place for families to feel at home far away from home, casual and relaxed. While the house will be spotless, stylish and comfortable, this is not a minted out corporate rental with the with manicured plantings and sodded lawns. This is a Sonoma County country home with the requisite scrubby, yet beautiful surroundings in summer and lush green overgrowth of winter. This is a place that appreciates and showcases Sonoma's nature rather than trying to tame it. You may find fresh sunflowers from the field, tomatoes or greens from the gardens, a basket of gravenstein apples, an overgrowth of juicy blackberries up and down the driveway and surrounding the whole property. This property would please families or groups that want to relax together in a natural, private northern California, west Sonoma county setting. Everything is quality; clean house, fine linens, great cooking space, privacy, views a welcoming feel! While you will feel away from it all downtown Sebastopol is a ten minute drive, the coast 20 minutes, Russian River 25 minutes and wineries all nearby. Guests have access to all areas except the garage, where we store our stuff. There is ample parking for several cars. We will be here to greet the guests and then will be off the property but available by text to answer any questions or address any problems. Hidden Rose House is located in the Twin Hills area of Sebastopol. This desirable area is known for its rolling hills, apple orchards, vineyards and Christmas Tree farms. There are many beautiful walks to take right out the door. While you may feel far away from it all, downtown Sebastopol is less than a ten minute drive, and door to door we are twenty minutes to the beaches of Bodega Bay taking scenic back roads right from our neighborhood. We are also a short drive to three main wine tasting roads, the Russian River and Armstrong Redwood Forest. There are three main wine tasting routes nearby.For chardonnay and pinot noirs you can stay right in our appellation, the Russian River Valley, and Olivet Raod to River Road for many small, family operated wineries. Many sparkling wines are from this area as well. In Healdsburg there is Dry Creek and Alexander Valleys for merlots, zinfandels and cabernet sauvignon. All of these and more are nearby. Right in Sebastopol there is Iron Horse Vineyards, Lynmar, Balletto, Russian River Vineyards, Dutton Family Wines, Taft Winery and many more. There is no public transportation in our rural neighborhood. There are many Uber drivers in the area, and the house has cards of private drivers. We are only ten minutes by car to downtown Sebastopol. This house is our family home. So, while it is beautiful and very clean, it is a little more lived in than if it were a full-time vacation rental. We have factored into the price that it is a working home and not completely pristine. We do however, remove a lot of the clutter so you don't feel so much like you are in someone else's private space. The positive to this being our family home is the house has plenty of amenities and supplies. Another thing to note is we do have dogs and outdoor cats, so this is probably not the best rental for people with animal allergies. We have recently installed Blink outdoor security cameras. We make sure they are pointed away from hot tub and outdoor shower. As it is our family home we like to know a little bit about you and the reason for your visit.
