A unique grade-listed cottage, dog-friendly, and just 5 min walk from the centre of Llangollen. Built in 1785 by Thomas Telford (who built the nearby Pontcysyllte Aqueduct). The property has large covered utility and porch areas (perfect for storing outdoor equipment, bikes, kayaks, paddleboards & walking gear or as an area for your dog) . It also benefits from a dedicated driveway and garden with views over Dinas Bran Castle. The space The Old Tollgate House is an historic cottage with two bedrooms and its own parking and garden. It has a cosy, homely appeal and is ideal for a couple or family. It is ideally situated within the town of Llangollen just off the main road through the town. The master bedroom has a double bed and walk-in wardrobe, whereas the other bedroom has a bunk bed (with a double on the bottom and single on the top). The living room has a smart TV and an ample supply of board games and books for all ages. In addition there is a dining room and well equipped kitchen (with oven, hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, microwave etc). There is a side porch/boot room as well as a sizable covered utility area which houses a washing machine with dryer, ample drying space and is ideal area for your dog to relax after a long country walk! Outside, there is a driveway and private garden over looking the ancient hilltop ruins of Dinas Bran Castle. Guest access This is an entire property with your own driveway and garden. Other things to note As the property is an old tollgate house it is situated of the main road through Llangollen. Whilst this is a single carriageway, country road, it can get busy with traffic, particularly during the popular holiday season and we urge care whilst crossing the road and if you have young children or dogs.
