The Lighthouse - Boathouse Bay Snells Beach

Boathouse Bay was recently voted Winner of 'Home of the Year 2024' by HOME Magazine. We are very proud to offer our 3 storey home with magnificent views across to Kawau Island. Every mod con you can think of...only two years old. Colourful and relaxing - outdoor bath! We have 'winterised' for your comfort. A unique place with a style all of its own (think colourful). Access to the beach from the communal shower/patio area only 20 metres away. Ideal for two couples. Matakana close by.. The space Our home is a modern 3 storey get away - designed by Architect Ken Crossan, and 2024 Home of the Year. There are two flights of stairs - carpeted. The top floor is the master bedroom with king bed, wardrobe, dressing table and ensuite with hand held bidet. Linen curtains cover the large bifold windows with pull down rollers for the other windows. The second floor has the second bedroom with a queen bed, beautiful sheets, wardrobe, suitcase stand and ensuite. Downstairs is a 'study' which leads through to the downstairs toilet and washing machine room. The study has a printer for those requiring it, a desk and day bed for a little snooze. A beautiful open plan kitchen with stunning mood lighting at night leads through to the large flat deck with 4 steps down to the path/gate. Our favourite item is the outside bath - come back from the beach and have a soak - and just let the water out - bubbles and all! Note that the deck does not have railing all the way around so toddlers would need supervision. Perfectly situated for those wanting to explore the Matakana/Warkworth/Brick Bay/Snells Bay area. Guest access On arrival you will enter the gate by the deck. Entry instructions given on booking. Guests can access all of the 3 storey home and outside areas. The garage is not available for guest use and will be locked. Other things to note Nearest shops are the Gull Service Station (also a post office and has fresh foods) and the Green Grocer next to the old Warehouse Red Building. (Soon to be a fabulous 4Square grocery shop). A full guide is provided at the house for further information about the area. Warkworth has a Woolworths and a New World along with a new Pak N Save towards the motorway intersection. Also Warehouse, Noel Leeming and Mitre10. We have our own beach access from our shared driveway. There is a flat walk, concreted, all the way along the beach front - great kids play area.
