Easy walk to The Kings Head pub and a 3 minute drive or 1 mile walk to beaches. The beaches are popular with surfers and walkers and this dog friendly cottage full of charm is perfect for a relaxing holiday. Rhossili Bay and Worm's Head are within walking distance. The space Gower house is a small gower cottage built circa 1800. It has an open plan living and dining area with an open staircase dividing the space. Ceilings, doors and staircases are low in keeping with properties of this time when the average height of Welsh people was 5ft 4inches so taller people will need to mind your head on staircase and doors. Traditional Wooden planks and beams lay between ground and first floor creating a creaky cottage feel and with traditional tiles on the ground floor , the house is a great example of a late 18th century Gower cottage. Access to the property is via a narrow lane and you will see the grey pine end of Gower house halfway up the small lane on your right hand side. Pull into the driveway in front of the house and when leaving reverse up the lane and then drive back down to the main road. There is no access for cars further up the lane just a footpath with only one other property located in the lane. The garden is large and has a pleasant summer shed that you can relax in with sofa and table and chairs with great views of Rhosili Downs and the sea. There is also a patio area with informal seating as well as a dining table and chairs. A charcoal barbecue is also available for use . Guest access Guests have sole and full access to the whole house and garden plus summer shed. The smaller garden shed is locked for storage.
