Close to Davis, Thomas & short drive to Timberline, Canaan Valley, & White Grass ski resorts The space The Hideaway is a beautiful, spacious, and modern two-story home overlooking the mountains and Canaan Valley, with world-class mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, hunting and fishing, whitewater rafting, kayaking, canoeing, and golfing. Davis was rated #20 in Outside Magazine's top mountain towns IN THE US to visit! Trail that goes all the way to Davis located 1/4 mile walk from house. The design of the house provides privacy and the large windows fill the house with sunlight. Two bedrooms have blinds. There's room for 8 people (3 bedrooms & trundle day bed). The shed on the porch offers storage for your mountain bikes or skis. Mellow driveway, gravel roads in good condition, NO need for 4W drive. The main floor is open concept and walks out to a large deck with patio furniture and a gas grill. The dining room table sits 8 and a spacious kitchen offers a dishwasher, garbage disposal, large refrigerator, crockpot, InstaPot, drip coffeemaker, microwave, blender, and electric tea kettle. All-Clad stainless steel pots & pans, natural gas stove, and cast iron griddle. Bose Bluetooth speaker. WiFi speed is good for working or streaming. The upstairs bedroom has a king bed and is next to a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Downstairs, you'll find the master bedroom with a private bath and the third bedroom with a queen bed. Beds are super comfy! The third bath features a tub and is adjacent to a large entertainment room with a trundle daybed that sleeps two. When you want to cozy up inside, you'll find games, books, WiFi, a soundbar, and a large television with YouTube TV. SUMMER in the valley is an escape from the heat. OPEN windows at night to let in the cool, fresh mountain air and CLOSE them during the day to maintain a very comfortable temperature. Excellent ventilation with lots of opening windows and doors, plus CEILING FANS in every room. Experience all four seasons with an AMAZING VIEW. Guest access The entire house and 2+ acres will be all yours with the exception of the owner's closet located upstairs by the bathroom. However, please feel free to use the vacuum located in that closet if you'd like. Easy access from the highway through maintained neighborhood roads, with a gently sloping driveway. Other things to note Beginning January 1, 2025, Tucker County WV adopted a new 2% tax on short-term rentals. Proceeds support the local emergency ambulance service available to residents and visitors to Canaan Valley. Wood burning stove is available and instructions are in book at house.
