Little Strollings, in a rural Sussex village

Welcome to Little Strollings, set in Plumpton Green, a quiet Sussex village, the perfect base to explore the South Downs Way, Brighton, the market town of Lewes, the numerous beaches, stunning country-side and great local pubs! This beautiful, newly renovated, studio barn is a perfect break for couples, families, walkers, cyclists and runners alike. Mainline station with direct trains to Gatwick and London Victoria. DOGS are only allowed if booked in, at a charge of £15 per stay. The space Little Strollings is a beautiful studio barn, adjacent to our main house, newly renovated in 2023 with open plan living / sleeping area and separate shower room. Private or on street parking available just outside, entrance via the garden, where we provide a secure dog lawn and a table and chairs to sit and enjoy the afternoon sun. The main studio space has a luxury double bed, with organic Naturalmat mattress, hypoallergenic wooden bedding & pillows and luxury cotton sheets. Built in bunks (top bunk has restricted length, and a narrow opening in the bottom, so they are best for kids). A perfectly formed kitchenette with two ring hob, sink, fridge freezer and everything you would need for a simple meal prep. Or head out to one of the many local pubs in the area, grab fish and chips on a Tuesday or Pizza on a Wednesday from the visiting vans. The village shop is very well stocked including some fresh made ready meals. We provide tea, coffee, hot chocolate powder, oat milk, olive oil, salt, pepper, washing up liquid. A seating area features comfy armchairs and some local info including maps & walking routes as well as some children's books. We also provide some board games, toys, a yoga mat and picnic blanket. Ideal for couples and families, visiting friends and those looking to explore the South Downs way, any of the lovely beaches or towns locally, Glyndeborne opera, and Plumpton races. Guest access Accessed via its own front door, this studio barn is linked to the main house. Entrance via the front garden that has your own table & chairs, set up for the afternoon sun, and use of swings with a secure, dog proof lawn (dogs must be cleaned up after) Private or street parking is readily available. We are an 8 min walk to Plumpton station with southern trains direct to Victoria in an hour. Plumpton is a quiet Sussex village with plenty of charm and beautiful scenery, one (very well stocked) shop and a handful of pubs nearby that serve great food.
