The guest room has a queen bed, full size desk, dresser, closet and 3 large windows, lots of light, bookcases full of reading materials, Washingtonian mags, etc. Guests are encouraged to feel at home with access provided to furnished screened porch, kitchen fridge, living and dining rooms, den tv, and wifi throughout the house. Guests always comment on the very comfy and clean ambiance, the extremely comfortable bed with lots of pillows, a light cotton blanket, quilt, shams and duvet, and the quiet of the congenial neighborhood. Bethesda is a very popular neighborhood--it's full of cultural options; eg, art films, traditional movies, symphony hall with fabulous offerings, Round House theater, Bethesda jazz and blues club, spas, yoga and exercise studios, YMCA 3 blocks away, and a wide range of 150 dining, gelato, frozen yogurt, and ice cream choices. Bethesda Row contains lots of indoor and outdoor dining choices; Chevy Chase and downtown DC are wondrous with all the museums, zoo, live theater, historic monuments, Rock Creek Park, and shopping easily accessible on the Bethesda metro Red line. Lots of choices: uber, metro, buses, taxis on call, bike trails, bike and car rentals, etc...will be downtown on metro in 20 mins easily....so many museums, monuments, foodie spots...DC is happening! Bethesda is a highly desirable neighborhood to visit (and live), full of cultural and culinary options. Access to DC is easy with metro or a quick drive downtown. A family neighborhood too, it's very quiet at night. Spring is here soon and the backyard cherry trees and flowering plants open and are magnificent!
