El Pretexto is our home and life’s undertaking. A space that combines wooden villas, an agroecology farming beds, an orchard, a forest and a large wood deck. Located at a very peaceful area in the mountains of Cayey with amazing views all the way to the south coast and just one hour away from San Juan. El Pretexto is an adults-only (18+) venue so if you are looking for a relaxed, countryside experience, El Pretexto is the place to stay. The space Chalet has two stories, Villa 1M is on the ground floor. The bedroom have a queen bed with 300+ threads cotton sheets. Villa has a private bathroom with hot water in the shower. This villa is equipped with a kitchenette and a small fridge. Breakfast is included at the main building. You are welcome to join us for a farm to table, home-cooked dinner on Tuesday and Saturdays as an optional experience. We also offer massages and yoga with professionals, reservations in advance is highly recommended. Is important to note that we have a pests control process in place every two weeks but we live in the heart of the countryside and if the doors are not kept closed all the time, insects could get in. We do everything we can to prevent this but it can’t be guaranteed. Please keep the doors closed to minimize any undesired visitor. Guest access Feel free to enjoy the deck in the main building as well as walking through our farming area and gardens. Other things to note We love to cook! A fresh locally-sourced ingredients’ breakfasts is included both mornings. Dinner experience is optional on Tuesday and Saturday nights, further information on how to reserve will be shared after booking. You can bring your own beverage or you can buy one from our wine offerings. Optional massage session can be booked in advance and is highly recommended.
