Located by an actual Ruby gem mine - A Rockhounds delight, a short walk or drive down as well. Enjoy our large outdoor deck with outdoor shower, shaded by Old Oak Trees. Relax and swing away your concerns on our front Pergola with porch swings and hanging chairs. Rustic Boho style, unique vintage details and 2 fully remodeled bathrooms await you! The space Ruby is our Gem Cabin, she's spacious and a Hippy Tomboy., with her Rustic Boho charm. Super private, with room to breath and connect with nature in Gorgeous Cowee Valley! The cabin is located on the highest portion of this land parcel with year round views of the surrounding mountains. The drive in is beautiful with pastoral views bordered by foothills. You'll pass a few neighbors once you turn onto the dirt road, but once you drive up to the cabin they will not be in sight. This is a rural area, besides the Gem mine below, you will need to drive for restaurants, grocery stores etc. It's a true private cabin in the woods, though 4wd isn't necessary, however. rear wheel drive does tend to rut out the driveway to the cabin. So AWD or front wheel are going to be better, but not essential. You'll have plenty of level parking in front of the house and room to play in front or also on both sides .i.e. corn hole etc. There is a large firepit below to the left, with room for tents or a van RV. Sunrise and Sunset are both appreciated here, though my favorites are the sunsets from the Pergola and Back Deck. This is the place to come and breathe deep, relax, nap, rest, enjoy good food, friends, family and explore the Smoky Mtns. Waterfalls, hiking, rivers, tubing, canoeing, kayaking, Gem mining and leaf looking....Fall is unreal here! Actually all year round is beautiful, but Fall is when the trees really show off. Deer and wild turkey roam the property daily, so don't be surprised to see a deer eating nearby...there are a couple babies right now and they are so cute. As for amenities, the cabin has a new central air and heating system, plus ceiling fans in each bedroom plus living room. The outdoor shower is super refreshing as well and a unique feature. Both bathrooms are brand new and stylish with attention to every detail. The home is spacious with a large kitchen and dining area, plus bar top and stools to accommodate large families or groups. If you need room for more than 7 the sofa can be used for another 1 or 2 and there is a queen air mattress. The additional guest fee is $20 per person per night. Please communicate your needs and I'll do my best to accommodate. The washer dryer is located in the entry closet on right and detergent is there for your use. There is a charcoal grill with charcoal and utensils etc. on the front patio. Guest access Guests have access to the entire home and surrounding outdoor area. We request guests not go in sheds or greenhouse. Also guests are not allowed at the Mine after hours either.
