The space This complex has been brought into the 21st Century as a high rise residential complex developed from its previous life as the ex-Highways Department building adjacent to the River Torrens. There are colourful artworks by Yannima Tommy Watson, the Aboriginal painter, spotted throughout the building and apartment creating a delightful art mecca. The facilities in The Walker building are second to none, including a pool and sundeck designed by the renowned swimmer, Michael Klim, a gym, spacious bbq area and additional viewing area with additional seating. This contemporary accessible styled apartment can be reached via the lift. The flat is a home away from home with cosy carpet throughout and the kitchen is sectioned off by tiles along one wall. The kitchen is equipped with a bar fridge, electric oven, 2 electric hotplates, microwave, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine so eating in is easy. There is a washer/dryer combo for long term stays. The main open plan space of the studio is bright and light with a window overlooking the bush near the Torrens River. There’s a cosy king size bed, side tables, comfortable lounge, wardrobe, all the kitchen items you'll need and a ‘Smart’ TV complete with Chrome Cast. A block-out blind allow you to control the light flow into the room with reverse cycle air conditioning to maintain a comfortable room temperature throughout the year. A modern ensuite bathroom completes the studio with a frameless shower area. There is a laundromat (Melbourne Street Laundromat) in nearby North Adelaide for those looking for longer stays. External building doors close at 11pm and reopen at 7am along with 24 hour security for added safety in a secure complex. Note we don't currently have a designated parking spot - but CAN organise a spot (for an additional charge) in most cases - just reach out and ask. Note there are street (free and timed) options close by. Guest access Guests will have access to the studio on level 4, viewing platform on level 1 and pool, gym, bbq on level 2.
