Sunny mornings light up the airy kitchen, generously stocked with dishes and flatware; ample glasses and stemware, small appliances, bake ware and mixer, pots and pans and utensils. The beautiful butcher-block island seats 2 and the farmhouse table seats 4. The all new bathroom features a clean, spacious walk-in shower with soft-close doors; and a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer. Upstairs, the office area in the study is perfect for those working remotely, or for use as a quiet space for reading or conversation. The large bedroom over the kitchen is bright and roomy, with two twin beds and lots of floor space. Modern furnishings are accented with numerous vintage and antique pieces, providing character and a cozy atmosphere that will be hard to beat. As you’d expect from a house built in 1850, some floors are uneven and several rooms have lower, sloped ceilings, as shown in the pictures. Pets are not permitted. Please note that no third party bookings will be tolerated. The guest making the booking must stay at the property throughout the reservation to avoid cancelation without any refund. All adult co-travelers of the booking guest are required to join the trip. Our goal is to provide a 5-star experience for every registered guest. We want each guest to feel at home during their stay, however, parties are strictly prohibited. Quiet hours are from 11pm - 7am. Guests have access to the entire home and yard, as well as off-street parking for a maximum of 3 vehicles. The basement and shed are not for guest use. It's easily walkable and super cute. There's a town park with a playground, tennis and basketball courts about 3/4 mi. down the street. VanPatten Golf Club with its' restaurant is right across the street from the park. There's a great pizza restaurant a 5 minute walk away. Stewart's Shops, the area's premier convenience shops, are 1/4-mile away. Eagle Crest Golf Club, along with it's mini-golf course, ice cream and soccer golf are 3 miles away. Several grocery stores, pharmacies, liquor stores and restaurants offering a wide range of foods are within 5 miles. Lakeside Farms (great breakfasts and lunches) and it's gift shop and Lake Ridge Restaurant, a fabulous restaurant in the quaint Victorian village of Round Lake are also within 5 miles. The Malta Drive-in (definitely a must-see!) and the Albany-Saratoga Speedway are within 10 miles. Brew pubs, orchards, corn mazes, Halloween venues, museums, theaters, shopping and numerous other local activities abound! Main St is primarily a residential street with no sidewalks, but with a wide shoulder on the road. People bike and walk it safely. There are no bus routes nearby, so a car is necessary. Main Street bustles with activity on weekdays from 8am - 6pm, but the noise level in the house is comfortable.
