Hut in Carno

The Shepherd Hut at Cledan Valey is a quaint and cosy space to unwind and relax. It has a comfortable double bed and breakfast bar. Set apart from our other accommodation the Hut commands its own tranquil area at he top of the path to our little picnic place. The Hut has a lockable door and wonderful Windy Smithy wood stove. We have solar lighting and a double gas burning cooker inside. Outside you have your own picnic bench, tea light lanterns and fire bowl. Your accommodation includes a good selection of decent pots and pans, kettle, crockery and cutlery for two and useful items like cutting boards and bottle openers. You have a cool box containing an ice pack which can be swapped for new daily near the washing up facilities. The wood stove will be already laid up for you and you can obtain more wood from a nearby log store - we have an honesty box and ask for a couple of pounds when you fill a basket of logs. Carbon Monoxide and Smoke alarms are in place as is a fire blanket and an extinguisher. We leave you matches and tea lights too. We do not include towels but other essentials such as bedding, handsoap, toilet roll is all included. There are shared washing up facilities with hot water (soap included), clean drinking water and a small but recently refurbished toilet and shower block with proper showers and flushing toilets. Dotted around the eight acre site are various places to sit, eat and unwind. Our communal Yurt Lodge at he top end of the site is open to everyone and has a fire, seating - including a dining table, toys, books and games. There is a telescope, guitar and a treasure hunt with prizes for all. And, just in case you forget something, we have a 'Plonker Cupboard' with useful items and a 'Left Behind' box where leaving guests can drop off things for you to use. What's not to love! Guest access Our fully refurbished toilet block is very clean and has proper showers and flushing loos. There is also clean drinking water and washing up facilities. Nearby there is also our new posh composting loo too! Guests also have shared access to the Yurt Lodge, a large indoor space that all of our guests can use to relax in where you will find games, treasure hunts and other activities. During your stay We meet all guests on arrival and help you get settled in. Other than that unless you need us we let you relax your way.
