A Peaceful Get-Away

Come and enjoy the quiet of nature. We are located off the beaten path, near the Fox River, but less than three miles from the Metra station (into Chicago); and less than five miles from the Norge Ski Club. Within driving distance, there are golf courses, hiking paths, and shopping. Our fully furnished apartment is attached to our main house and offers you a private entrance and driveway parking for one vehicle. The space Our apartment is available for short term or long term stays. We also welcome corporate visitors and visiting nurses/MDs. You have full and private access at all times. In the winter you'll enjoy the warmth of in-floor heat (three separate heating zones in the apartment allow you to set different temperatures in the bedroom, bathroom and living space) and during the summer months, you control your own central air conditioning. The outdoor lighting is motion activated, so no matter what hour of the night you pull into the driveway, there is always plenty of lighting. Also, there are cameras facing towards the driveway. Guest access Guests have their own private entrance (key code access). Although our home is attached to the apartment, they are two separate living quarters. My husband and I live in the main house, with our two dogs. All our guests have 100% privacy in the attached apartment. Other things to note We have two dogs – an Australian Shepherd (Sadie) and a Golden Retriever/Lab mix (Bailey). Both are very friendly. I make every effort to not let the dogs interfere with your space. We do NOT allow pets in the apartment at any time, including our own. Also, if you happen to google our address, more times than not, a picture of a house under construction appears. That photo is 15 years old. Our home and apartment are not under construction! We have a Generac generator that has the capability of powering the entire house, including the apartment. You never have to worry about "living" in a dark space because of loss of power. We provide 1gig high speed internet. The cable is basic cable, but with your own account, is capable of running additional services (i.e., Netflix).
