Hilltop Hideaway. Relax, unwind, and getaway!
Truly your own peaceful get-a-way. Meander your way over the cattle guard, through the creek, up the winding driveway, alongside the grazing cattle, to your secluded Hilltop Hideaway. If you're wanting to take part in the ATV trails of Lafayette County or you are just looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, we have the perfect place for you. Hilltop Hideaway has been our retreat for years, and we look forward to sharing it with you. The space Hilltop Hideaway is a newly renovated space! Nestled in amongst the trees, we worked to create a space we hope you truly enjoy. Our hope was to offer a place that was both, welcoming and unique. Our decor is mix of custom builds and pieces from our home farm. The cattle will graze the fence line bordering the cabin, stand by while you drive along on the gravel road, and watch curiously while you drive through the creek as they drink. Last summer our detached bathroom and shower house was built, along with our cabin undergoing a top to bottom redesign. There is an open loft with queen bed (via a ladder), a custom queen murphy bed. and a queen sleeper sofa. Our kitchenette is stocked with all the basics and more. It has a microwave, electric fry pan, crockpot, toaster, and a Blackstone grill on the porch. We are stocked with everything you need for that perfect cup of morning coffee or tea. No matter if you are planning to spend your time indoors or out, we have you set with both a full-size refrigerator inside and a mini fridge outside by the kitchen sink. Plenty of water for drinking and cooking is provided in the cabin for your convenience as the sink is located outside at the bathhouse. The cabin has A/C and heat, our bathhouse is set with heat and fans for your comfort. There is plenty of room for yard games and kids to run! Our large circle drive provides plenty of parking, even for anyone bringing trailers to haul ATVs. At the end of our driveway, you can cross over Hwy 23 to Dublin Rd, an ATV access road. We are located just 4 miles south of Darlington, an easy trip into town for anything you might need and several great food options. Guest access Our guests will have full access to the entire area fenced in around the cabin. The pasture area driven through on the way up to the cabin is not available for guest access other than the driveway. Other things to note Guests will drive through a cattle pasture with grazing cattle. Please, be patient if there are cattle on the driveway, they will move and are not of concern to you. We do ask that you DO NOT get out and try to interact with them, they are used to people, but for the safety of both you and the cattle we ask that you stay in your vehicle. You will drive through a creek. Water depth may vary but averages 4-6 inches, there is a solid rock bottom. Once our guests reach the cabin you will come to gate that will need to be opened. Once through the gate you MUST close it to keep cattle out of the cabin area. The water to the bathhouse is from our well, for storage reasons we label it unpotable ( non drinking). We provide plenty of drinking and cooking water in the cabin. Please, keep ATV/UTV use to the driveway ONLY. We ask that you DO NOT drive throughout the pasture or in the cabin yard, beyond the rocks along the driveway.
