Marcelle's is a beautifully restored 1917 country cottage built for workers of the local butter factory, in the heart of Korumburra. It's ideally situated, surrounded by a tranquil garden and is restored to its former glory. With original Baltic floorboards throughout which complement the comfortable and high quality furnishings. Guests will enjoy the entire property with access to private outdoor spaces in the dog friendly garden. Smart TV, wifi, off street parking and double garage. The space Marcelle's is a unique home, one of four in the street, which were brought out to Australia by boat from California, to provide housing for the workers at the Korumburra Butter Factory. The bricks on the front porch, chimney and fireplace were the ship's ballast and are still in original condition today. The floorboards were milled specifically by the workers at the butter factory for the cottage. The original walls, wainscotting and ceilings are still present today. The cottage hosts 2 generous sized bedrooms, and a modernised kitchen and breakfast nook with renovated bathrooms and ducted heating throughout. Bedrooms All high quality linen and towels are provided for your stay. Spare blankets and hot water bottles are provided on those cold nights. Bathroom- Main A unique renovated bathroom with shower, bath, vanity and toilet. Soap, locally made on the Mornington Peninsula is provided with luxurious towels. Kitchen A fully equipped kitchen to create all the culinary delights found throughout the area, with new electric stove and cooking essentials provided. Living Room The comfortable and cozy living room is complete with a Smart TV and a variety of board games for your entertainment. A selection of books are available in the kitchen nook. Outdoor space The garden is planted for year round interest with spectacular established roses, citrus grove, and a copse of fruit and ornamental trees. There are outdoor tables and chairs to enjoy the quiet surrounds. A Weber BBQ is provided and there is ample storage in the garage for bikes or a boat.
