Casa de Quintãs - Cardinal

In the heart of the Douro Casa de Quintãs, located in the picturesque parish of Guiães, municipality of Vila Real, is part of the Douro Demarcated Region, a wine region and olive oil producer par excellence. It dates back to 1937, having been built by the Faria family. It is currently owned by one of the heirs, who on his own initiative adapted it to tourist exploration. The space This farmhouse has always developed these activities of consumer wines and fine wine (Port), as well as olive oil production. For the normal and good development of this activity, it has appropriate wine presses and warehouses for the preparation of this precious nectar and traditional olive oil press, more than 100 years old, for the transformation of the olive.  The house has six bedrooms, the most emblematic being the “Carolina”, where the first classroom of this characteristic Douro wine village operated. It is also the only room whose name is not inspired by a grape variety. The owners have endeavored to provide their visitors with well-being and comfort so that they can enjoy a pleasant stay.
