Gothic memories on the path to NotreDame Cathedral

Three minutes walk from Notre Dame Cathedral. Flat at groundfloor. Two separate bedrooms with shower room and toilet with window giving to courtyard. 3 stairs down to go to the downstairs bedroom and showerroom from living area. 8 stairs up to cling to to the second bedroom upstairs. Living area at groundfloor 4mt ceiling. Ceiling's height of bedrooms: 2 meters. Acustic window glasses giving in the street, which is pretty calm anyhow. The space Part of our building’s walls used to belong to the « Bernardins college of built in 13th century ». That was the time of the "Templar Chevaliers".... We conceived the whole volume with the starting point the need of having privacy in each bedroom and keep the whole height of the ceiling (4mt high) in the living area. Two separate bedrooms with closing doors with each its bathroom (shower, sink and toilet/water closet) adding a comfortable dining and living room area with a little kitchen fully equipped. In the living room there is a sofa bed with a mattress for daily rest (size 140x190cm) In the upper bedroom there are twin beds (80x190cm) that can be put together for a double bed of 160x190cm. At booking, the guest inform us how to prepare these beds in the upper bedroom. The bed in the bedroom downstairs is of 140x190 cm. The Mattress are very comfortable of 21cm high in both bedrooms. The mattress in the dining room is thiner but for a daily rest (size 140x190cm). » Important to know: the thickness of the ancient walls makes the isolation of the flat very nice. In Summer is very coolish. We furnish however 3 efficient fans. No need of air conditioning. In winter, the flat is well heated. We choose high quality inertia electrical cast iron radiators to diffuse a nice warm feeling. Guest access The entire flat. We apply extra fee for earlier / very late check-in than 4PM. Later check-out are not allowed. These possibilites have to be checked with guests leaving and arriving the same day. We can inform only a couple of days before. There are solutions for luggage deposit nearby. See website of citylocker at the number 6 of our street (rue des Bernardins). Fee details and conditions are: For check in between 8PM and 10PM the extra fee is of 30€. After 10PM until midnight is 50€. After midnight is 80€. For check in : - between 2PM and 4PM , the fee is of 40€. - before 2PM is 100€ Other things to note The flat is at groundfloor. The bedrooms are of 2meters high. Their windows give to the internal courtyard. So very quiet. The ceiling of the upper bedroom is in the old original wood. In one corner of the room the height is 195cm. The height in the shower room point is of 2meters of height. Taller people than 198 cm might take this information into consideration about the height of the ceiling upstairs. There are two stairs in the flat to climb: 8 steps to upper bedroom. 3 steps to downfloor bedroom and shower and toilet room. We apply extra fees for earlier and later check in /out of 45€.
