Bay of Fundy Winterized Cottage

Breakfast on the Bay of Fundy! We provide breakfast items for the first full day at the cottage: eggs, butter, juice, loaf of bread, milk, or cream, coffee and tea. We provide condiments and other basic cooking supplies, sugar, salt, pepper, olive oil. After breakfast, enjoy the many activities : Whale watching, hiking, golfing, dining out. Or Just relax! The space As we have done in the past, we will continue to steam clean our mattresses, as well as steaming our laundered sheets, cushions, pillow cases and sofas. We also provide Lysol and hand sanitizer. When you are our guests, we want you to feel safe and comfortable, like being in your own home. Winterized 2 bedroom, 1100 sq. ft. open concept cottage is fully furnished with 5 major appliances, Wifi , DVD player, ROKU TV, includes free ROKU live tv, movies, free TUBI, PLEX, movie streaming, (Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Spotify available if you have your own account). Fully equipped kitchen with small appliances, and wood burning stove. There is a deck off the kitchen, complete with a bbq, table, umbrella, chairs. There is firepit in back yard. Free firewood provided for the wood stove and the firepit. The cottage is open concept : the Living room, Dining area and Kitchen flow into each other. As well, there is separate laundry/utility room where you will find laundry detergent and various cleaning supplies. The bathroom has a bathtub with a stand-up shower. We provide Ivory soap and hair dryer. There is no need for air conditioning since evenings can be cool, while hot during the day. In the very few chilly evenings, you can get cozy around the wood burning stove. Guest access The Bay of Fundy shore is 100 ft from the cottage. There is a path down to the beach/shore. Part of the shoreline has a sandy beach area. New River Provincial Park is a 7 minute drive away with large play area for children as well as sites for barbequing as there are picnic tables and sheltered areas. Other things to note Looking for things to do? There are many tourist attractions: the city of Saint John, with its famous Saint John City Market, and close by, Irving Nature Park with many walking trails( if you have some bird seed in your hand, chickadees will eat from your hand) and picnic spots., the US/Canada border is 40 minutes away, as is St Andrews by the Sea: a small tourist town on the Bay of Fundy where you will be able to go shopping in the many local handcrafted stores, or go whale watching, boat tours; or golf, at the top rated Algonquin golf course, which is associated with the Marriot Hotel chain. Also, within a five minute drive of the cottage, is New River Beach Provincial park which has one of the largest sandy beaches, when the tide is out, as well as a large playground for young children and many boardwalk nature trails. St Stephen, 45 minutes away, is home to the Ganong Chocolate factory, where you can arrange guided tours. Also, there is the annual Chocolate Festival. Town of Pennfield is nearby with excellent seafood restaurants. You can grab a ferry at nearby Blacks Harbour and visit the fishing village of Grand Manan, also a great place for enthusiastic bird watchers.
