The space Ingle Cottage was once a former cow barn and has been lovingly refurbished into 3 good sized bedrooms for up to 6 guests, (8 with the additional bedroom) it is a warm and inviting, modern designed cottage whilst still keeping some of its original features to emphasise and embrace the age of the property. Located in a small village so gives you the peace and quiet of the countryside to enjoy but still close enough to the market towns of Bakewell and Buxton which are only a 10 minute drive away either direction. The cottage invites you through the front door into the large open plan kitchen / diner with a handy porchway to take off those muddy boots. The dining area features a good sized table that can comfortably seat 6-8 guests and is cosily positioned next to the log burner this makes a warm and inviting space to sit and relax chatting or helping out preparing food and drinks. The kitchen is modern and well equipped, having all the modern appliances you would expect to find at a high standard holiday let. With ample storage space and plenty of cooking utensils you shouldn't have to worry about a thing. Towards the rear of the kitchen in the back lobby is a doorway leading to the rear courtyard and also a handy downstairs w/c with basin. The striking wooden archway with double doors leads you from the kitchen into the cosy lounge. These doors can be shut in the evening to create a cosy space to relax and unwind after a day exploring the stunning Peak District, with 2 large sofas, fireplace and TV its the perfect place to spend the end of the day. The stairs lead to the first floor from the corner of the room. Also leading from the lounge is a ground floor bedroom - there is a small, carpeted step into the room. This room is light and airy with handy corner vanity unit and fixed double bed. On the first floor you have 2 further bedrooms and shared bathroom. At the top of the stairs is Bedroom 1, classed as the master bedroom, with a modern and stylish en suite featuring a corner shower unit, basin and toilet. 2 windows bring in loads of natural light. There are then a few steps down to Bedroom 2, the twin room, with stunning double windows to enjoy the village location, fixed twin beds dominate the room with plenty of space for storage. On the second floor there is an occasional loft room, (rented at additional cost) with a double bed, storage and fabulous views across the hills from the skylights window. It is perfect for teenagers or young adults, we wouldn't recommend for young children or guests with limited mobility due to the access via some steep steps. Access to this room is from the corridor on the first floor. To the rear of the property you have off street parking for 2 cars through the 5 bar gate, there is more on street parking should you need it. The garage offers secure storage for bikes or motorbikes and also houses the garden furniture chairs if they are not out for your stay. There is a small but private courtyard with outdoor table and chairs to enjoy on those warmer days and evenings with a BBQ for your use too, just remember to bring your own charcoal and lighting equipment. Guest access Guests have access to the whole of the property- (excluding the loft room which will be locked if not booked in advance). We ask if parking on the street to be mindful of the neighbours and that their access is not restricted in any way. You are able to access the garage and here you can store bikes or motorbikes. Ingle Cottage is on the main street of the village so access is easy to find. Public buses do run to/from the village but can be intermittent. An hourly 'TransPeak' bus runs from the end of the village (5-7 minute walk to the bus stop from the cottage) which calls at Buxton, Bakewell and other villages and towns along the Manchester-Derby route. We provide full directions in your trip section. We also recommend using the what3words app to find the front gate and full details of this are provided after you have booked. Other things to note The occasional loft room is available at an additional charge of £200 per stay Please request this at the time of booking.
