Up-C Ranch

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene farmhouse close to downtown Paso Robles, central coast wineries, and two beautiful lakes. Enjoy the nighttime silence and amazing star-gazing. Boat parking is available on property if you plan to bring your boat for an outing on one of the lakes (Lake Nacimiento or Lake San Antonio). There is a 50a level 2 charge plug but guests must bring their own cord - please see photo. The space This is a 10 acre rural property with a small orchard. There are chickens in a chicken coop, and 3 sheep, 2 Llamas and 4 lambs in a fenced in central pasture. The property uses filtered and softened well water and has a septic system. There is a small filtered water tap on the sink in the kitchen and a 5 gallon free-standing water dispenser. The house has a spacious great room and 2 master suites (1 with king and 1 with queen). The queen room has a futon couch which becomes a twin bed if desired. Third bedroom has a queen over queen size bunkbed. The bunkbed has a guard rail for the top bunk with ladder. The top bunk is recommended for children above age 6. Both queen size bunk beds can hold up to 400 lbs per sleeping surface. There is an extra twin mattress and inflatable queen mattress available for use. This is a large property and there is the potential to encounter sharp or dangerous objects. Children should be supervised carefully. The oak woodlands of California are home to many wild animals - deer, wild boar, mountain lions, coyotes, snakes, tarantulas, and many more! Please keep this in mind and use caution, especially with children. There is a tennis court that needs to be repainted, however it does have rough lines painted for pickle-ball and a pickle ball net. There is a basketball hoop on the court. There is a studio cottage with its own hot tub that is rented separately. This is several hundred yards away and both units are completely separated by their own gate for privacy. There is little if any interaction between guests including separate parking and private entrance. Guest access The entire house and property is for guest use. The guests in the cottage have a door which opens towards the central pasture but both houses have good privacy. While parts of the property are fenced, entry through gates is allowed if caution is used to keep all animals inside fenced areas and absolutely no children are left unsupervised. The sheep and llamas are friendly, but are large animals and could be dangerous if startled. Other things to note Ranch hands and others who help care the animals and property have access and might be seen. If access to areas near house is needed, the guest will be contacted and asked for permission first. There is an excellent grocery store (Oak Hill Market), cafe (Orange Cat), pizza restaurant (Rock N Robles), and gas station 5-8 minutes away over the dam towards Paso Robles. Lake Nacimiento and Lake San Antonio South Shore is a 5 minute and 15 minute drive, respectively. Most wineries are 20-30 minutes away. We are less than an hour from the beaches and San Luis Obispo, and over an hour drive to Hearst Castle.
