Inside, you’ll find an inviting open-plan lounge with some mid-century touches, a cosy fireplace for wintery evenings, and a dreamy daylounge framed by large windows — the perfect nook for reading & napping in golden afternoon light or listening to some vinyl on the record player. The spacious kitchen is well equipped for everything from sunset cheese boards to lazy pancake mornings, and the automatic coffee machine means café-quality brews are only ever a button away. A cocktail-ready ice machine is on hand for spritzes on the deck or chilled evening negronis under the stars. The queen bedroom features plush hotel linen and curated textures for a blissful night’s sleep, with an optional single pull out for extra guests. For even more space, our lovingly restored caravan (available by request) offers a double bed and a single — ideal for friends, or those craving a nostalgic touch. Please let us know in advance if you’d like to include it in your booking. Step outside and you’ll discover a private backyard framed by trees and edible garden offerings. Drenched in afternoon sun, it features a rustic stone fire pit (perfect for stargazing with a wine in hand or playing some lawn games), a relaxed entertaining deck with BBQ and retro deck chairs, and a freestanding outdoor bath and shower. A towel warmer ensures your soak under the stars ends in complete comfort. Travelling with a furry friend? Prickle and Palm is proudly dog-friendly, with a full suite of thoughtful amenities to pamper your pup — including a dog wash station, dog bed, toys, kennel, treats, and a self-filling water station to keep tails wagging. The large, secure yard offers plenty of room to sniff, nap, and explore by your side. Need to recharge your car? We have you covered with a dedicated EV charger available for a small per-stay fee. (Please let us know in advance if you would like to access the EV charger during your stay). The timber surf shed at the front houses pre-loved surfboards, stand up paddle boards, beach umbrella, esky, picnic set, bikes, and boogie boards — all free for guest use. Wander across the road to explore the local penguin track (we provide a red-light torch so you can observe respectfully), or simply listen for their footsteps as they nest under the house, caravan, and shed during the season. From Prickle and Palm, you’re just a 5-minute walk to Bicheno’s best beaches and a quick bike ride or stroll into town. Guest access You will have access to all areas of the house and yard, The caravan is only available to access for additional cost per night by request only.
