Eiffel at Bassinaud - relaxing and well-equipped

Eiffel is spacious and light with high ceilings and large windows offering views of the surrounding countryside. It is well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing holiday including a utility room with washer and dryer. The main bedroom has a king-size bed, wooden beams and looks out onto a green valley. The large living room has a corner sofa, smart TV and superfast broadband. There's a wood burning stove for cooler evenings and reversible air-conditioning. The perfect home from home! The space Variously described by guests as "beautiful, large and very bright", "a gem" and "super comfy", Eiffel is ideal as either a holiday cottage or a base for exploring the area. Once inside you’ll appreciate the sense of space provided by the high ceilings and the simple décor. A comfortable corner sofa, with recliner, faces the view from the picture window, and the TV. There’s a dining table to seat four, and reversible air-conditioning to keep you cool in summer and warm in the winter. For added cosiness there's even a wood-burning stove. The kitchen has a gas oven and hob and plenty of work space, a large fridge/freezer and a dish washer plus all the pots and pans you’ll need to get creative with fresh local produce. Above the kitchen is the mezzanine library/office, ideal if you need to catch up on emails or just somewhere to sit and read. We've recently added a sofa-bed in case you need the extra sleeping space. The utility room that leads from the kitchen contains the washing machine and separate drier as well as more kitchen equipment and a host of cook books. From there you enter the main bedroom with exposed beams, high ceilings, and large windows providing a view over the garden and the valley below. Given the opportunity, it is possible to lie in bed and watch the birds circling at eye-level. Sometimes you may even see a deer grazing a few yards away. There’s plenty of storage space in the walk-in wardrobe and a handy en-suite toilet with handbasin. Guest access Eiffel is all yours during your stay. You’re also welcome to explore the rest of our space, and the fields beyond. In season you can pick fresh tomatoes and chillies from the beds near your cottage or go foraging for apples, pears or figs in the valley below. We’re also happy to share the eggs from our chickens as well as cherries and plums from our trees. Other things to note If peace and quiet is what you’re looking for then Bassinaud is the place to stay. It’s our little hamlet of six well-spaced cottages, with no near neighbours or main roads. It’s ideal if you want to holiday with family or friends, whilst having your own private space. We fell in love with it at first sight and we think you will too.
