Enjoy nature in this 2 bedroom stilt house on Paradise Island surrounded by the Blackwater River- just a 30 minute drive to Gulf Beaches! Kayak around the island, enjoying the turtles & birdwatching, or boat or drive to downtown Milton to dock and dine at Blackwater Bistro or Boomerang Pizza. There is a boat ramp, boat house, 4 kayaks and life jackets for guest use. Easily visit Navarre Beach, vibrant Downtown Pensacola, Pensacola Beach, or Ponce de Leon Springs. The space The Shanty is a cozy escape on the Blackwater River- the area is a paddler’s paradise. We offer cards, corn hole, ring toss, fishing poles, record player with lots of oldies and classics, kayaks, charcoal grill, smokeless solo stove fire pit, outdoor heater, bar. In keeping with the days of old, we do not have a tv but you are welcome to use the high speed internet for streaming on your devices. -central air conditioning/central heat 1 King bed with on-suite bathroom and deck overlooking river 1 double bed/bathroom 2 convertible sofas in living area **Please note** The guest room is a bedroom/bathroom combo that does not afford bathroom privacy from bedroom space. The master has private bathroom. Complimentary coffee, snacks, sodas are provided *NO SMOKING on property* No loud music Drive SLOWLY on island Guest access Entire house, dock, property. Other things to note When booking with small children or persons with mobility issues, please consider that the property is on stilts and requires climbing stairs to access. It is a waterfront property. Dog friendly, we accommodate responsible pet families. Fur-family: We allow dogs for a $20 pet fee. No dogs on couches (nails scratch and puncture sofa material) or beds (unless you bring your own bedding). We do have a fenced property; however, the dock is open to the water. Please clean up after your pet. We use pest control, but this is Florida and you are waterfront in a forested location.
