Clean, comfortable and cute for those looking for a comfy place to get away from it all. Carmen’s Cabin (formerly known as Kachemak Bay Cabin) was built by my daughter Carmen and her father in 2005. Open, bright, clean and cozy, this beautiful and efficient cabin is found in a wonderfully pleasant and family friendly neighborhood. It was situated on site to take maximum advantage of the stunning views of Kachemak Bay and the Grewingk Glacier. We are located just two miles East of town! This quaint Alaskan cabin is similar to a tiny house, it is 12x24 with a half loft and a full bathroom. The loft is accessed by a ships ladder/stairs with very comfortable queen size bed, extra pillows and an amazing view of Kachemak Bay and the mountains in the distance. Downstairs there is a full bathroom, kitchen, and living room with a futon that pulls out into a double bed. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready for you to make a delicious dinner with your recently caught seafood (;-) There are tons of windows for letting in the light and staring out at the magical view. The private deck and picnic table on the side is perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee while planning your day's activities. Cozy cabin equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable vacation experience. Conveniently located just two miles from town, paved bike path one block away! We live right up the driveway and are available for any questions or needs you may have. Our three acre property is conveniently located two miles from town on East End Road. Head East to Fritz Creek, or hop on the bike path into town. You will also be close to Kachemak Drive, if you want to take the scenic route to the Homer Spit. An easy five minutes from town; close enough for convenience, yet far enough to feel at home. We also have two other cabins on the property and our house is at the top of the driveway. Guests can park right in front of the cabin. Homer has rental cars and taxi service for your transportation needs.
