Nestled high on a hill overlooking the picturesque Mary Valley, ‘Claudine’ is a cosy tiny home with stunning 180-degree views. Be treated to breathtaking sunrises every morning and watch the landscape change minute by minute throughout the day. It’s a truly magical experience. The nearest township is Amamoor, only a 2 minute drive. There is a general store and the Mary Valley Rattler steam train turns on the turntable at Amamoor Station. It’s worth watching at approx 11 am Wednesday to Sunday. The space SUSTAINABLE COMFORT The tiny home has been fitted out with sustainability in mind, featuring solar panels, eco-friendly products and recycled timber to minimise its environmental impact. Inside, you’ll find a kitchenette stocked with everything you need to cook up a storm and a comfortable sofa bed to rest on between adventures. The loft bedroom features a plush queen-sized bed, perfect for a good night's rest after a day of exploring the valley. With views from every window, you won’t miss any of the glorious vistas. PRIVATE Outside, you'll find a private deck where you can relax on the outdoor couch and take in the incredible views. Eat meals on the deck or by the courtyard barbecue. The outdoor fire pit is perfect for an evening under the stars. PEACEFUL Situated on a regenerative, certified organic farm producing delicious avocados and honey, the surroundings are food for the soul. You’ll completely relax in this gentle rural environment with the occasional sounds of farm animals in the distance. BIRDLIFE Be entertained by the abundant local birdlife—and if you’re a bird watcher, there are endless opportunities for viewing (120 species of birds call Amamoor home). Bring binoculars to watch the eagles overhead or just have a laugh at the resident Stubble Quails tumbling over each other to feed on grass seeds around the house. VIEWS On clear mornings you can follow the progress of hot air balloons as they float across the valley. Watch the Mary Rattler steam train cross the distant horizon. Go for a wander to the top of our hillside for a 360° view of the landscape that will take your breath away. NATURE Visit nearby Amamoor State Forest and walk among the ancient trees. Spot one of the 760 species of native wildlife that are preserved in this truly special place. Known for its lush rainforests, rolling hills and pristine waterways, the region has so much natural beauty to explore. There are plenty of outdoor activities to keep you busy, from hiking and mountain biking to kayaking and fishing. FOOD Claudine is just a short drive from the charming towns of Kandanga and Imbil, with easy access to a range of local restaurants, cafes, and shops. Stock up on supplies from Kandanga Farm Store on your way here for chemical-free, nutrient-dense food grown in healthy soil. The township of Amamoor hosts a General Store with takeaway food and fuel. A cafe is also open Wed - Sat at the Heritage Train Station. ADVENTURE You could even combine your stay at Claudine with a trip on the iconic Mary Valley Rattler, an original steam train that meanders from Gympie to Amamoor Heritage Station through the picturesque scenery. Horse riding is also on offer through a local company. DETAILS Claudine is fed by fresh rain and creek water. We drink it, (and love it!), but you may choose to bring your own drinking water for your stay. Mobile reception is excellent, although you may find yourself forgetting your devices to reconnect with nature. Access to the tiny home is fairly steep via a graveled farm road and is suitable for all vehicles. Guest access Claudine is entirely yours for your stay. There is a private deck with a comfy couch to appreciate the stunning views and sunrises. Be aware that access to the deck is via stairs and also stairs lead to the loft bed. Suitable for people with good mobility. There is a gravel firepit area with wood for you to use on cold nights. Please note this will not be available in very dry conditions or total fire ban periods. Also be aware that the drive way is steep in places, over farm tracks and gravel/grass roads. It is suitable for AWD or 4WD vehicles. Take extra caution in wet weather. Other things to note WHAT TO BRING: * clothes, toiletries, personal items * food - cooking is on a BBQ and a portable gas hob * drinking water - we do have a filter jug you can use for the water at Claudine * music speaker * phone charger * download viewing entertainment on your device prior to arrival as there is no wi-fi or internet * a good book, paints, or other hobby WHAT TO EXPECT: * Stunning views * Peace, tranquility and solitude * A steep driveway * A completely off-grid tiny home - solar power and gas hot water * Fire pit with wood supplied * Flushing toilet, shower and chub * All linen supplied * Kitchen with fridge, utensils and crockery * No wi-fi but phone reception is good * A working farm experience - there will be animal and vehicle noise at times * Loft bed - access via narrow stairs * Rubbish - bins are provided.
