Nestled close to the base of Hunter mountain, across a cul-de-sac from a lake, this family, friendly, modern four bedroom, two bathroom home is your four season retreat. Skiing is 3 min away! Watch the sun rise from behind Hunter mountain from our two decks both with lake and mountain views. Make s’mores on the fire pit, BBQ some fresh corn, or take a stroll on the quiet streets lined with classic A-frame houses and log cabins. Keep your eyes open as you’ll likely see bunnies, deer and beavers. The space The entire house is clean, bright and airy, with no shortage of windows, sun, or views. Mountain Views can be seen from almost every room in the house. The house has a large front and backyard for playing games or enjoying the darkest night sky you have ever seen. The outdoor fire pit is ready for s'mores making sessions. The open dining area/kitchen faces Hunter Mountain, and is equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher. There is plenty of cookware, a ninja blender, an Instant Pot, coffee pot, water kettle, toaster, and all the cooking and baking items you will need. There are two living areas, so your family and friends can spread out. The downstairs living room is outfitted with a large Frame TV, a big sofa and plenty of games to keep you busy during cozy winter nights. This is where you can find a peloton bike if you want to work out. We also provide four yoga mats. In the sunny loft upstairs, you’ll find a bluetooth record player, a Sonos speaker, and more games and books. This is the perfect spot to snuggle up on the couch in front of the beautiful Malm fireplace and relax, after a day of skiing. During the spring, summer and fall, the living space can double using the front deck which spans nearly the length of the house, and the upstairs deck, conveniently located off the loft. For sleeping you can choose from any of the four clean, bright and well appointed bedrooms. Each bedroom has individual thermostats for heat and closets to unpack your clothes and store your luggage. The upstairs bedrooms, each have ceiling fans, and all four bedrooms have an AC unit for warm summer nights. The layout of the house is ideal for friends and couples as two of the bedrooms are downstairs and two are upstairs, with a full bathroom on each floor. The house has four bedrooms configured as follows - (2) king size beds, (1) queen size bed and (1) a twin over full bunk bed with a twin trundle. There is plenty of space for you to enjoy the outdoors. Not only do we have two decks, but there is a nice sized front lawn and a big backyard. Both lawns are flat, grassy and perfect for that afternoon lawn games. The house is located across from a small lake. Additionally, guests have access to a propane grill, a smokeless fire pit and plenty of sturdy outdoor furniture. Need to get some work done or working remotely? There is a desk available in one of the bedrooms for your use. The Wi-Fi is fast and reliable. All your basic amenities, like coffee, tea, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, soap, paper, towels, toilet paper are provided. FOR FAMILIES: – a Bjorn Travel Crib with muslin crib sheets (please let us know in advance if you need this, and we will set it up for you) – a hiking backpack (the kind that toddlers sit in) – a high chair – kids plates and bowls, cups and silverware. – some books (for babies and small children). FOR SKIING: - Boot warmer - 3 Minutes from Hunter Mountain Guest access Guests will have access to the entire house except for two locked supply closets. Other things to note Wildlife in the Catskills - we are situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the Catskills and nature abounds! You will likely see wildlife during your stay. You may see deer, turkeys, groundhogs, foxes, etc. Please note that we are in bear country. It is very important to discard of all garbage in the secure bear-proof bin (warmer months) or garbage can (winter). All bbq and food items should be brought inside and the bbq scraped clean after use to avoid having unwanted visitors. Bears are generally very timid but they make a terrible mess! The house is regularly treated for pests but being that we are in the country, it would not be unusual to have an insect or mouse make an appearance inside.
