The cabin is a 180m walk from the parking area across a flat field. Cars cannot go beyond the parking area. A trolley is provided to help guests transport luggage. Other things to note Wood-Fired Hot Tub: Please be aware, the private hot tubs are wood-fired, not electric. This means there are no jets or bubbles and they do not heat up instantly. They require effort, regular attention, and take up to 5+ hours to get up to heat first time. The time varies according to the outside air temperature and how well you manage the fire. We provide a complimentary starter supply of logs, firefighters and kindling. Used properly (following helpful instructions provided) this supply may be enough to get the water up to heat, but it may not. An additional supply of wood is available to purchase onsite for £15 or you can pre-order it ahead of arrival. You are also welcome to bring your own logs, but please be aware only proper kiln-dried logs are allowed. Proximity to other cabin: There are two cabins at West Meadow Cabins, of which this is one. The cabins are located within the same field, alongside each other, approximately 25 metres apart. Both have their own private outside area with private hot tub. There is screening between the two cabins and they are positioned at angles to restrict views of each other, with no windows on the ends which face each other. Support: Guests are provided with detailed and helpful information for their stay, including host contact details. The host is responsive and can provide communication support, but please be aware this is self-catered accommodation and not hosted. Accessibility: Whilst our location is very convenient to reach, as a small and rural business, our site itself does unfortunately have limitations in terms of accessibility. Guests are required to walk the 180-metre distance across a grass field between our parking area and the cabin (a 4-wheel trolley is provided to aid with your luggage) and the elevated cabin is accessed only via steps (specifically a 4-riser stepped access). For these reasons, West Meadow Cabins is unfortunately not appropriate for wheelchair users or those with any mobility difficulties.
