Tiny home in Culnacnoc
Description
A quaint and unique place to get away from it all, this warm and comfortable bothy is nestled between the sea and the spectacular Trotternish ridge. Perfectly located for the discerning explorer, the best of Skye's sights are a short stroll or drive away, including The Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, Staffin Beach and the dino footprints at Brother's Point. The bothy is fully-equipped and receives regular 5* reviews. A perfect place to unwind and watch a beautiful sunset after a day's exploring. The space The wee bothy is set within the grounds of an Old Mission Church, built in 1912. While the owners are next door, the bothy is a private retreat enclosed by fencing, overlooking rolling croft land to the Trotternish ridge beyond, and with a private decked area to relax on and enjoy the views year round. Lounge in the hammocks in the spring-summer, or sit out with a hot cuppa in the shoulder months, lit by fairly lights for additional atmosphere (when the northern lights are not on display!) Inside, the bothy is comfortable and quaint providing a well designed combined living space and equipped kitchen complete with fridge, oven/grill, hob and microwave. A cosy hub encases a comfortable double bed - climb in up the mini ladder and relax reading a book under the nautical themed lighting, or snuggle in to watch your favourite movie or TV series in bed! After a long day’s exploring, relax on the mini sofa with a good book or some Netflix. There is a good a range of DVDs, guide books/leaflets and novels to choose from. A separate shower room and w.c ensure all the comforts of home within a cute and characteristic idyllic haven. There is no washing machine, however we can offer washing/drying for a small fee. Location notes - the bothy is in a rural location, so don’t come expecting a cafe to walk to or much in the way of restaurants or shops. We have a couple of options in the summer around 5 miles away, otherwise eateries are located a 25 minute drive away in Portree or Uig. The bothy is conveniently accessed from off the main road and so some periodic road noise can be heard at busy times in the summer months. However most guests tell us they don’t notice it at all! Please note - minimum night stay is typically 3 nights. 1 night stays are made available on an ad hoc basis and are charged at a higher fee due to increased changeover costs. Guest access The Bothy is entirely yours to enjoy and very private. You can come and go as you please! Other things to note Please note we do not provide milk or ground coffee. We do provide a few individual sachets of coffee, tea bags, sugar sachets, cooking oil, salt and pepper. Please bring anything else you wish to use with you! Please note - to lock the door you must pull the handle up first before turning the key. Registration Details HI-30670-F
