Welcome to The Shepherds Snug Hut at Dorset Valley Glamping, tucked away in the peaceful village of Powerstock, Dorset. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, wake up to birdsong and wildlife. Relax in a tranquil valley setting, just a short stroll from two cozy pubs. The stunning Jurassic Coast, Bridport, and West Bay are all a quick 10-minute drive away. Perfect for a cozy, peaceful countryside getaway filled with nature and charm. The space Tucked away on our peaceful 18-acre smallholding, Rabbit Catchers Farm, Shepherds Snug is one of three charming shepherds huts that make up Dorset Valley Glamping. The Snug can be booked alongside The Warren and The Nest, subject to availability—perfect for couples or small groups looking to unwind together. Inside the Hut Shepherds Snug is a traditional-style hut that’s warm, welcoming, and wonderfully comfortable: • A luxurious king-size bed with crisp white linens – a blissful night’s sleep awaits. • A well-equipped kitchenette with induction hob, cooker, fridge, and all your essentials. • Cosy heating options: a toasty log burner and central heating to keep you warm all year round. • Modern en-suite with a rainfall shower, basin, WC, and heated towel rail. • Fresh towels and bedding provided. Outside the Snug Step outside and soak in your very own private electric hot tub—ready whenever you are, no preheating needed. A charming love seat and small firepit, the perfect spot to watch the sunset with a drink in hand and take in the beautiful valley views. A well-behaved dog is welcome for an additional £20. Please note the area is not fully fenced, so dogs must be supervised at all times. We kindly ask you to bring your own bedding if your pup is likely to share the bed. Don’t forget to add them when booking! Surroundings & Wildlife Right outside your hut, is one of our fields—perfect for stretching your legs or heading out along one of the nearby footpaths to a local pub in either direction just a few minutes walk. Nature lovers will be in their element. Keep an eye out for deer (including rare white ones!), hedgehogs, and a huge variety of birds. And here’s a special treat: a pair of barn owls live in the nesting box just above the hut—you may catch a magical glimpse of them at dusk as they swoop silently across the field. Our Animals Our friendly animals love visitors! Your neighbours, Binky and Bonny the Kunekune pigs, enjoy a good scratch, while our affectionate sheep will absolutely steal your heart. Good to Know • No Wi-Fi, but excellent phone signal. • Dog-friendly (£20 fee, bedding required if dogs are on the bed, dogs must be supervised due to unfenced area). • Peaceful countryside setting with pubs, wildlife, and walks right from your door. Pre-ordering is essential, and we’ll send you all the details you need. 🐾 Meet the Animals – £10 Fancy meeting our friendly gang of animals? Book a meet-and-greet experience for just £10. This is weather-dependent, so we’ll confirm availability closer to your stay. 🥚 Fresh Farm Eggs – £2 per half dozen Henry’s rescue hens are happy, well-loved, and lay delicious fresh eggs. You’ll often find them available at the honesty stand near the gate. If it’s empty, just pop us a message and we’ll check for you.
