What to Expect: The Jungle Setting: You will be surrounded by incredible wildlife—howler monkeys and exotic birds are our neighbors! Because we are in the jungle, you will encounter local insects and bugs. We maintain the property strictly, but in the tropics, a few uninvited six-legged guests are a normal part of the landscape. Infrastructure & Utilities: Unlike major metropolitan cities, rural Costa Rica has developing infrastructure. Occasional power outages can occur. These are usually brief but can sometimes last for a few hours. Water Pressure: Please note that our water pumps rely on electricity. If the power goes out, you may experience low to no water pressure until the grid is restored. Unpaved Roads: Most roads in Nosara are dirt or gravel. Expect some dust in the dry season and a bit of mud (and bumps!) during the green season.
