In the common areas, you’ll find board games, a small book selection, a Bluetooth speaker for music, a deck perfect for private yoga sessions, and a barbecue area with a picnic table. Relax in the lush tropical gardens, or unwind on the hammocks and nets over the dock, where it feels like floating on a private yacht. Free kayaks are available for you to explore Bacalar’s Seven Colors Lagoon at your own pace. Private and secure parking is provided inside the property. The villa is fully private and not shared with anyone else. Other things to note At Villa Alegre Bacalar, you’ll enjoy a 15-meter private dock stretching over Bacalar’s crystal-clear waters, with two relaxing overwater nets that make you feel like you’re in the Maldives or Bora Bora. The property is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and features several terraces with breathtaking lagoon views. A wooden deck by the water is perfect for private yoga sessions, while lounge chairs, sunbeds, a barbecue area, and a picnic table invite you to enjoy the outdoors. Board games and a small book selection are also available for family fun. ☀️🌱 100 % Eco-Friendly Property 🌱☀️ The house was designed with natural cross-ventilation and a 7 m lattice wall that lets the Caribbean breeze flow through the living area. For this reason, air conditioning is not installed there, although the space remains fresh most of the time. Four ceiling fans are provided for warmer days. All bedrooms have independent air-conditioning units, which guests are encouraged to use responsibly and sustainably. The villa runs on 100 % clean solar energy and features an automatic backup system that powers the refrigerator, fans, lighting, and outlets in all rooms and bathrooms during power outages (air conditioners are not connected to the backup system). We also manage wastewater through a biodigester and artificial wetland, allowing treated water to safely return to the environment without affecting the lagoon ecosystem. Every detail at Villa Alegre Bacalar has been designed to ensure a unique, comfortable, and environmentally respectful experience. Lagoon access: access is via approximately 25–30 steps, as the lagoon is located at a lower level than the terrace.
