Relax with friends or family at this peaceful place known to locals as The Jade House. This is a century old home site. Our grandparents Jade and Hazel raised 11 children here. The old log chicken coop and outhouse still stand on the property. The house itself has been rebuilt on part of the original foundation of the original home. Some of the most peaceful things to do are to sit at night in one of the porch swings or in a rocking chair listening to the Whip- poor-will call. Early morning you might catch a glimpse of the wild turkeys All grounds are for your enjoyment. The large spacious yard is ideal for children to run and play. Making s’mores over the open outdoor fire pit is a must. We provide complementary firewood for your convenience I am available for any questions you may have during your stay. I am close by and can reached via cell phone. The Jade house is nestled in a peaceful rural community surrounded by mountains and farmland. You can watch cattle graze from the front porch. We are 14 minutes from Harrah’s casino, 15 minutes from John C Cambell Folk School. Perhaps you enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, rafting, kayaking and fishing. You are 30 minutes from the Nantahala River or Ocoee River. We are 30 to 45 min away from lake Chatuge and lake Nantahala. Motorcyclist can enjoy riding the Tail of the Dragon which is 1 hour away.
