This old house witnessed the birth of the Cervantes Festival, as it was the place where the artists prepared for their presentations during the Cervantes interludes. Located on Calle de Positos, one of the main avenues of Guanajuato's historic center. Our accommodation has a capacity for 17 people. Airbnb only allows you to book for 16. Guest #17 is direct. The space The house is protected by the National Institute of Anthropology and History. We have preserved it with the original floors, doors, wooden beams, and adobe walls so that you can enjoy this little piece of history of our beautiful Guanajuato. In a short walk of less than 3 minutes you will find the famous Callejón del Beso (Alley of the Kiss), La Alhóndiga de Granaditas, Plaza San Fernando and its picturesque cafes, Plaza San Roque distinguished by its Cervantes interludes, the Diego Rivera Museum, among endless restaurants, bars, museums and all kinds of entertainment for all tastes. The proximity to all the city's attractions will allow you to enjoy your trip without the need to travel by car or public transport. Guanajuato is best enjoyed on foot. Our colonial-style hotel is a recently renovated historical space. In the style of old buildings, the room has double height and a wooden beam ceiling. Its atmosphere will transport you to the times of ancient Mexico but with all the comforts of a hotel room. Our single-story accommodation has a capacity of up to 15 people divided as follows: - The first bedroom features two double beds, a large wardrobe and closet, cable TV, a full private bathroom, and excellent natural lighting. - The second room has a double bed, two comfortable armchairs, a dresser, a large closet with hanging space, cable TV, a desk by the window and a full private bathroom. - The third room has a single bed and a double bed, cable TV, a dresser, a space to hang clothes and a full private bathroom. The room does not have exterior windows so it is equipped with portable fans and the ceiling is double height. - The fourth bedroom consists of a double bed, cable TV, a large dresser and a full private bathroom. - The fifth bedroom has two double beds, an armchair, a dresser and coat rack, cable TV and a full private bathroom. The room does not have exterior windows so it is equipped with portable fans and the ceiling is double height. - We have all the amenities you need to make your stay pleasant; we have towels in the bathrooms, toilet paper, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, safe, shampoo and body soap. - The property has a gallery café where you can spend a pleasant afternoon enjoying the house coffee. We have an exclusive table area for our guests, located in the central courtyard of the Casona and another area in front of the property open to the general public. Guest access The reception, located in the El Viejo Zaguán building at Pósitos number 64, is open daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. In the event that your arrival is after business hours, you will be given instructions for self-access to the property. During your stay, you'll have keys and access codes at the main doors, and you'll be able to access the property as many times as you like without time restrictions. The house is located in a very safe area, so you can enjoy nightlife without any worries. Other things to note It is very important to note and inform you that rooms three, four and five do not have exterior windows and are enclosed spaces. Due to the above, we do not recommend it to people with claustrophobia, fear of closed spaces and medium ventilation, however do not worry, since the ceiling of our space is double height, so the air circulates without major problem. Being on a downtown street, the property does not have a garage, however, less than 200 meters away you can find several parking lots where you can leave your car safely. This hotel overlooks Callejón de la Galarza, where the traditional student parade passes through every day between 7:00 PM and 10:30 PM.
